Well I regret a bit for getting Tiffany's bead bracelet this week. I mean I usually only buy something I love. This bracelet is only something I like. I always see it on other people and in pics and I like the look of it . Am I attracted to it? Yes! Am I'm in love it with? No!
Well the thing is I exchanged it for something I love(bow earrings) but it didn't work out on me so brought it back the next day and got the bracelet instead. Whilst the bracelet is better than the earring I don't know why I don't love it. Should have gotten credit store or something and add that towards my wishlist. I hope I will learn to love this bracelet. Yet another classic example of buy now think later.

We mite be in the city so wanna get hubby to get the dbty sunday!!

If it is something u plan to buy in the near future, say in April, might as well get it now before the price goes up, right? At least that's how i justify my purchase! Hope u can get ur necklace this week. Pls post pics when u get it : )

I think i will eventually be glad i got my bracelet now, since i really love it, as i will probably kick myself if i find that it has become more expensive later on. I just need to get over the initial guilt : p

Can't you take it back and get the credit? No good keeping it if you don't love it :smile1:

Oh, you're not the only one. I did the same too! I bought the RTT tag bracelet. I was actually going to get it much later this year, but with the price increase, i decided to get it a few months earlier.

I feel a little guilty abt it.....but i've been wanting it for a long time (been lurking on ebay for months but decided to be safe & just buy in store to avoid getting a fake one) and i will still buy it eventually so it's not so bad, right?? (trying desperately to make myself feel better, LOL :D)
Definitely a smart move to get it now! As you said, why wait when you were going to get it anyway?! I'm totally with you on that one (plus it doesn't make me look so bad)! Lol ;) xMMx

I know the feeling. Sometimes I think I just settle for something I only "like" because I just want something new & pretty but really I wish I would be more rational & only buy the things I truly LOVE. xMMx

Been thinking about it but am now scared of being too fussy. Since I exchanged once. I don't like to cause too much hassel. Maybe I just keep this and try to stack it. Still too chicken to stack but I think this bracelet wont damage my LOVE too much since its light and the bead is round, well I remain in hope that I will fall in love with it and that it wont damage my LOVE.

It's your money...you won't be causing a fuss. Use the money for something else, that's what I would do anyway. Having said that I love the bow bracelet so it wouldn't be going back if it was mine :smile1:

Yes exactly. I don't even know why I went to Tiffany's in the first place. Wasn't even planning to get any jewelry this month cus trying to save for one of my wishlist but when I walk pass it, as if on auto-pilot my feet changed direction and the next thing I know I was looking at Tiffany pieces. I think I need to go to Jewelry anoymous now. I am usually smart with my money but I dont know why Im not this time.

I think I have a problem...as in a jewellery addiction problem!
I see something I love & I think "this is it! This is what I REALLY want, nothing else & I'll wear this forever" - I feel like my life will be compete if I get it & I'll never want another piece of jewellery!
BUT as soon as I get the piece I want, I see something ELSE I want & I'm not completely happy with what I've got!
It's not normal, I'm sure it's some sort of problem! Anyone else like this? Please don't let me be the only one!

It may be helpful to go to museum exhibits on jewelry, especially in NY, get a book like Understanding Jewelry (forgot the author but the book was updated about 10 years ago and it's an excellent resource), look at antique shows to see the different styles of jewelry in each era (art nouveau, art deco, 40's retro, 60's modernism, and so forth), and peruse old Sotheby's or Christie's catalogs that antique shows often sell. Learn about the different kinds of gems--spinels, zircons, all the varieties of quartz and chalcedony, tourmalines, etc., by going to exhibits at Natural History museums and reading books on gems. Look at estate jewelry when you're in jewelry stores. Look at 1st dibs on-line. Go to gem shows. When a piece of jewelry truly "reflects its time" and the design is unique, and maybe you've gotten to know the artist-jeweler, it's much easier to be satisfied with what you already have because the pieces will have more meaning to you and can possibly become signature pieces that you wear every day.
