same here.....minus the breast feeding! I go out with friends but I don't drink, gamble, smoke, or do drugs. I barely go shopping! I buy pieces that last (clothing & bags) I'm not into cars....My hobby is jewellery :smile1: oh and i'm kind of obsessed with lilbub.com while we are admitting obsessions! just sayin lol....

Every time I buy jewellery I save upfront first and buy it with cash, or if it's online a credit card or paypal and pay it off right away. for me it ruins a purchase when I'm paying it off months and months later.
Yep I only buy what I can afford & would never purchase something I had to pay off because in the mean time I'd find something else I want! Although I'd love to be able to afford more expensive pieces - it's nice to dream! In saying that, if you can afford it then go for it!!! xMMx

I always thought when I get my love bracelet I'll be satisfied, now I've got my eye on a Cartier watch so I guess that went out the window;) it's just too much fun!!!

Every time i buy an expensive piece or over indulge in jewellery, i'll promise myself "No more jewellery purchases until --- (a few months later, a year, whatever)". I never keep to it.:nogood:

I think the best thing to do is whenever u bought something expensive, tell yourself you will get another one in a few days time or the next day. Maybe reverse psychology could work here? If not you will always end up with more jewelry anyways. It's a win-win. ;p

Haha, I ought to try this reverse psychology sometime! :D

I have to join...every time I get a new piece of jewellery I try to convince myself that it's the last one and a few weeks/months later I want something else

I'm saving for jewellery on a regular basis and only buy once I have enough cash. I try not to buy more than a piece a year even if I can afford it...that way it feels even better when I get a new piece I've been eyeing for months, that makes it more special.

My DH also buys me some jewellery but I like getting my own stuff, it's a never ending story!

I definitely prefer to buy or at least choose my own jewellery! xMMx

Same here! I much prefer to choose what i want or buy it for myself. Although DH means well, if he chooses the jewellery, sometimes it is not exactly what i want, and i won't want to exchange or return it bcos of the sentimental value. So these days, he just gives me the cash and i buy it myself. It works well for both of us since he hates shopping anyway :D.

But I like it more when i am able to save up for something and get it myself!
