LAURI!!!! I'm so happy to hear from you! We were so worried! You always make me laugh!! It's great your family was there for you during Thanksgiving. It sounds like you have a great support team. Plus a cousin that flipped his lid for good measure!! At least his visits make for laugh your ass off stories!

My Moms came and helped me pack and throw out a lot of stuff tonight. Thank God for them. And my Mom is going to spend her bday weekend this weekend with me cleaning and unpacking.
I told her to wear her Cinderella clothes. :laugh: (not the blue ball gown)

Sally, I really want to kick the contractor's ass in. But he also happens to be my Baby Daddy. :push: the workers have been holed up in my house in the mountains for weeks now. I guess they're trying their best. I bet they'll move their asses real fast when the dogs arrive though!!

I'm trying hard to not get overworked and mentally stressed because of the mini but I am a freaking crazy New Yorker married to a loud and crazy Eye-talian!! :p

MT, Luckily I have a few days off and I'm gonna squeeze in a sick call to make it abt a week.

MT, although I am phased/thrown/baffled by something every single day (why do students not run spellcheck? how do I stop my cat from eating cashmere? does DH just not *see* the trash is full on his days? why are breakfast burritos addictive?) :D try the dryer ball, but the old standby is to throw a can of tennis balls in there.

ETA: But take the balls out of the can! :roflmfao:

luciana, congrats on finalizing the divorce! woo! and good luck on the psych papers and assignments. you can do it! and then, you'll have so much fun with mom. enjoy!

mt, i use a front-loading dryer and have managed to avoid the sheetball problem by shaking them out beforehand and drying them with towels. (shrug) i bet the dryer ball idea will work though. i use that to dry my down coat. works like a charm.

Thank you ladies! Feels good being just "me" again! :) Now only if child services get their stuff together so I can get paid and not be broke in December when I have presents to buy, my mom to feed and a toilet to get fixed I'd be very thankful...

Withhold payment? Cry? My dad had guys here finishing my shower on the day I had surgery because I cried and freaked out about being medically unable to take baths after the surgery. He also had them doing other finish work because he wanted to get paid. In true contractor fashion he waited until the very last minute. I still haven't paid him though :p I did a 203k loan so I'm still waiting for my final disbursement to pay him and payoff everything I floated on my credit cards.

I think I will stop by Whole Foods tonight and look for dryer balls, they seem Whole Foodsie. I'm a few days into making my bed. The sheets have confounded me, but so has getting the feather bed in its cover w/o killing myself and the order that things go on. I have all this silly cold weather gear that I know nothing about. Does it go heated mattress pad, feather bed, fitted sheet? Martha would be so disappointed in me.

Okay, so call me nuts, but while trying to sleep some hhhotties that I forgot a call out to say hi in my (comeback)post kept flasing through my mind.
