have you set a limit on the number of bags you will own?

I have 6 high end bags, plus one clutch and even that I think is too much:

2 Balenciaga part time
1 LV Sofia Coppola
1 Mulberry oak leopard alexa
2 Chanel- 1 m/l flap, 1 boy
and Balenciaga clutch

The latter 3 I use more in the evening, except I wear the boy in the day too if I don't have too much on. I alternate from the other 4 for the daytime.
I'd cull the balenciagas if I needed to but not the rest, if I wanted a really small collection but love them all too much at the moment.

Yes, its good to keep track of how many you have cause it builds up so sneakily. I've got 33 currently, but looking to cut to 20, and maybe (if possible) 10 in the future. Definitely not going to buy any from now on, so determined!

7 high end bags are my limit (one per day of the week.) Happy with my current collection but would love to add a leather tote (thinking a classic Celine Vertical Cabas in black) and a colored Pandora (this season's Oxblood red in Medium size looks very tempting.)

when i started collecting high end bags 3 yrs ago i've set a limit of 1 bag for every brand i like.. unfortunately that didn't happen now I've decided to have 2 of each brand and sell some that i really don't use ..

Okay...here's the thing. I know I should have a limit. As a matter of fact, I have surpassed the limit I know I should have. BUT, as I sit here typing this, those @#8! ads show up luring me to bags on sites I have browsed (thanks a lot, Google), and I go, "oooh, I want that," and the junkie in me gets going.

Now, on the other hand, having spent a large part of the holiday weekend binge-watching episodes of "Breaking Bad," (hey- I had to rest a bad leg), I feel that as addictions go, having a bag, um, problem, is not the worst thing in the world.

And there's the big blue arrow that will take me to the Rebecca Minkoff site, glaring at me from above. C'mon. Cut it out!

May, I just say....gasp. I love your collection. Bravo.

Strictly speaking, I don't have a set limit, but I personally think 20-25 is a good range of how many I should have, just based on how much I would get to use them. I like being able to use them all, plus being able to give them all some attention (admittedly, some bags will get more attention than others :p ... but I'd like to make sure they all get SOME attention, if that makes any sense). Right now I am at 23, and am bag content. Even at this number I already feel like a few of my bags are almost neglected as far as usage and attention go, so I really doubt it would be good for me to have more.

I'm glad I feel this way now, being bag content and all... I didn't really feel this way some months back. Check back with me a few months from now... I'm hoping this feeling lasts me a long, long time :p

Good, going, Maice. I'm pulling for ya. I wish I was pulling for me, but....sigh.

Thanks barskin! :D I'm pulling for you too, but that might be hard if you aren't pulling for yourself LOL :p

I agree that bag addiction as a "vice" isn't that bad... especially if you were recovering from a bad leg. Heck - you should cut yourself some slack! :hugs:

I have not, but I need to. I think 10 bags is the absolute most I could need. The problem is that something new always catches my eye and now I'm in the position of having to sell just because the alternative is bag neglect, which I'm pretty sure is a crime.

Just created a spreadsheet. Apparently, I'm up to 23 bags.

Thing is, when I looked through my collection, the truth is I don't use more than 7 of them.
Also, since all but two are premier designer bags, I'm starting to feel like it's a real waste of money just having them sit around without much use.

I try to rotate, but it's always between the same ones. The others haven't seen the light of day in a looong time.

So for me, having 7-9 bags is realistic. The rest are gonna have to go eventually.
