hey starrynite....

most people here probably haven't purchased bags from bbs because it is a bit overpriced. most of the bags on that website are from a season ago to years ago and are selling for the price of current season items (with a discount you can get on current season bags if you wait for the june or december sales)...but if you really want a bag they have, then i would not panic because they do sell authentic items....i have heard another tpf say that they got a bag in awesome "new" condition that was marked as "gently used". But maybe you can tell us what bag you like and the price and if we see it for cheaper....we'll post it here for you..... good luck!

Thanks so much aggie, that was very helpful. I had my heart set on the "Trish" zip bowler in all black which was $790, which I thought was a reasonable price given that it is from 2006 (I think) and therefore very hard to find. But guess it wasn't meant to be, cause they're sold out in that color. If you or anyone else has any idea where I could find this bag for about that price, I would be eternally grateful!

^^ I'm actually surprised the black MC flap was on there. I would imagine it would go pretty quickly. However, I didn't see it before. Maybe it was a return? Either way, I'm getting more and more excited after hearing how everyone's bags looked!!! Mine is arriving on Monday, but it will be a while till I can get it my hands (sigh). I'm a lot less nervous about it now, though. Thanks, girls!!!

They also had a Chanel brown vintage ligne when the sale first began and I almost bought it. Of course it's gone now, but I think this is a great resource for buying bags at a pretty nice discount.

^^ I'm really impressed with the bags they had in their outlet, but was particularly pleased at finding a place where I could safely buy Chanel online. They had a lot of amazing deals, non-Chanel included. I guess I'll be checking them out a lot more often:yes:

I bought a Belen Echandia bag from them once...sent it straight back because it was totally dirty and beat up. In those days, they did not say anything about the condition of the bag ... so at least they are doing that now. But since their only two categories are "never carried" and "gently carried," I still am concerned. The Belen Echandia wouldn't have fit the "gently carried" description, in my opinion - a more apt description would have been "run over by a truck." ;)

I still think they ought to show you a current photo of the bag instead of the "brand new" photo.

BTW, frombagstoriches.com also has an outlet section...I noticed they have a Chanel Lambskin Medium Flap in camel with "dark brown hardware" - whatever that means. Frombagstoriches shows actual photos of the current condition of the bag, which I prefer:

^^Thanks for sharing fiatflux! I do worry about there not being a current photo, or even more than 1 photo of the bag. I'm just thankful that shipping is cheap and returns are allowed so I'll keep my fingers crossed...

and I'm going to check out frombagstoriches as well:)
