I think it may be random. Because my Goldie is thin while still looking fabulous and aging well. My bleu nuit which is newer than Goldie is thick as ever!! Both Togo. Same with my clemence evelynes, the thickness of the leather varies.
got this bag today from The Hermes Store.. when at home I realized: leather (Clemence)seems to be Thinner and Softer than in 2014 and the edges of the straps already Peel off!!! Thats not The case with my Chevre B and Clemence Kelly.
Is it just me or should I Send it back for a Check. Did they sell me some old bag or how could this Happen?

I am sorry to say but we can't possibly know the answers to those questions!
I would think a stiff bag insert would help these slouchy birkins look more structured (if thats the look you rather) ... then when not in use, store stuffed.

I don't feel that leathers are necessarily thinner now. My 2006, 2015, and 2017 Togo bags are similar thickness, although the 2015 and 2017 bags are much more matte. All my Clemence bags are nice and thick.
Slouchy is a different issue than thin - Clemence again is usually nice and substantial but very slouchy. I love slouchy in a Birkin particularly, as all it takes to stand the bag up is an insert but it's still soft worn on the shoulder.

I have a 2016 K 25 that is a very thin Togo but it is perfect texture for the size. My older togo bags (H & K & O stamps) are a much stiffer, thicker leather so more structured. The more recent togo is slightly softer but not necessarily thinner, I do agree that the side panels are definitely softer on the 2016 birkins. Leather is a natural material so will obviously vary. Clearly, after the rotten smell issue of a few years ago, H has had to change it tannery, or at least tanning process for Togo. That said, change is inevitable.
The color is amazing but the slouch is far more than I have ever seen in clemence. I am not sure about the peeling, that is hard to tell from the pictures. The leather seem to be the same thickness of other clemence bags.
If you don't mind the slouch, I would keep it, it is a gorgeous bag!
