Hi all! I've had mine for a year or so but took great care of it. Recently found out that there were some parts with cracking glazing  attached are some of the more serious ones.. is this normal with the soho disco? Or should i try to bring it in and see what Gucci says? View attachment 4107512View attachment 4107515
If you are near a Gucci, you could take it to them. Do you live in a dry area? From your photo, it looks like you just need to apply some leather conditioner.

Hello everyone! I am ready to splurge on the disco after months of endless contemplation (lol)

I am a newbie to the forum as well as the world of premium designer handbags! The disco will be my first luxury purchase (& will probably not be my last, haha) and I am deciding if I should buy it from a Gucci boutique or if I should get it from the Nordstrom store (the Nordy that I go to has a small Gucci stand-alone counter/storefront).

Could anyone please let me know if there will be any differences, should I buy from a Nordstrom brick and mortar store instead of buying from the boutique? Specifically, will Nordy provide me with the box and dust bag, authentication card etc? I am leaning slightly toward Nordy because:
1) their return policy is much better than that of the actual Gucci boutique
2) their reliable & friendly customer service (haven't had a bad experience with them so far, so I expect this to continue)
3) it's a lot closer to where I live (lol)

But at the same time...I want to make sure I am experiencing the full package of buying from Gucci ~

TIA for your help (:

I would only go to Nordstrom because it is closer to where you live, especially since it has a tiny Gucci boutique inside (or is it a boutique). My local Saks used to have an LV. That’s where I bought my first LV. It was an actual boutique within the Saks though. If you want the boutique experience, since this is your first designer bag, then drive to Gucci. If you’ve researched the bag on here, plus watched YouTube videos, and thoroughly check you bag over before you buy it, you honestly shouldn’t worry about returns. It’s a small, popular, but very well made bag.

I bought mine directly from Gucci online. It came with everything, including a box that was way too big, but sturdy and nice. Looks good in my closet! ;)

Just bought my second Disco in rose beige after thinking about it for more than two years while in Vienna, Austria, on a recent trip! Net cost to me was 890€ - 102.50€ for the VAT refund so 787.50€ or about $920. (The VAT refund would have been 107€ (12%) but I took the refund in cash at the airport and they charge a small fee for doing so.)

Lovely boutique in Vienna and they were very kind and helpful! I'd highly recommend it. I also looked at the bag while I was in Budapest and kick myself for not buying it there as it would have been less expensive by about $50 - $75 U.S. but the boutique closed earlier than I thought it would on our last night there. Btw, I highly recommend Budapest as a travel destination. Loved it! Gorgeous city with tremendously interesting historic sites and incredible history. Lovely, kind people too.

And . . . my new Disco has the little leather swatch in the interior pocket.

I just ordered the beige disco bag from Saks! I’m so excited. It should arrive Tuesday. I can’t wait to join this club! It seems like the perfect errand bag. I had purchased a balenciaga Town to serve this purpose, but it just wasn’t working for me. It wasn’t easy to zip, and it was just too floppy and actually pretty big. I think that the disco bag will be a much better fit for my lifestyle. I’m so excited!!

I’m very disappointed. I just got the bag today. The packing was abysmal. The dust bag was balled up and shoved in the box, so it was completely wrinkled. The bag was wrapped in the cheapest looking tissue-thin plastic wrap. And worst of all, the protective wrapping on the tassel fell off halfway and was packaged at an angle, so all of the tassels were bent in half! I called Saks immediately and arranged for a return. I then placed a new order directly with Gucci. I’m hoping that the package will be much more presentable coming straight from Gucci. I wouldn’t have cared about the shoddy packing, and maybe not even the wrinkly dust bag, but the bent tassel was too much. Anyone know how long it takes to typically receive a package directly from Gucci? I’m in Maryland.

Hey! I just got my Gucci soho disco in black from Nordstrom. I was curious if it was normal for the back of the bag to cave in or collapse when wearing crossbody. I didn’t have it very full and the back side is so soft. Just wanted to know if it was a common issue or if I should try to get it replaced. The bag looks ok when not wearing. Thanks!
