I’m 5’4” so I got 3 more holes poked into the strap and thanks to a suggestion from someone on insta, I made strap-end holders with the extra leather sample piece that came with the bags.

Made wearing the discos SO MUCH more comfortable!

Ah! I think it was me! I did on my red one and now I also really want the rose beige one so hope I can get hands on her. You did great job on those strap holders! I got sore fingers after tried to sew the needle through the leather :amuse:

Hi everyone! I've had my Soho Disco for less than a year (purchased last September from Matchesfashion). I've noticed that the colour has rubbed off on the leather on the corners of the bag on the side that faces outwards. Is this normal? I have other leather bags and this has never happened to me before. I was expecting there to be some rub off on the inside facing side but not the outside facing side.

How likely is it that Gucci takes it back for repair?

Just wanted to update on my strap experience! I got my hands on a leather hole punch and punched one more hole (they're all 1" apart") in the strap. I was terrified to do it, but the bag is always flopping below my hip as I walk. I'm 5'0". I might need to put another hole or two to get it higher, but I can say that even that one inch made a big difference for where the bag rests and there is less flopping around because it's at the top/above hip.

Short woman bag lover problems.

How about the strap sticking out so much? I'm not talented enough to make an extra leather tie out of the swatch, but I read somewhere (I think extrapetite.com) to try a clear mini hair tie. Going to get some from Target this weekend and see how it works. At least with the clear tie, there's no harm in me messing it up  You all are so talented who made the leather strap yourselves! Putting the extra hole in the strap was enough to give me a panic ("I'm altering a bag, and I'm not a professional!!"), but it turned out helpful.

Yes, extrapetite.com: http://www.extrapetite.com/2016/07/summer-staples-gucci-soho-disco-bag.html

For the picture, she says she has the prong 2 inches above the highest hole, but it looks like she just did it for the picture. I imagine it would slide as soon as you tried to walk around. It also looks like a lot more than 2 inches. She has the bottom of the strap looped, but again, that looks like it's just for the picture; it would come unlooped as soon as you started walking around unless it was knotted more tightly. The suggestion for the clear hairtie is there, though.

Does anyone know if the Gucci beige colored bag from a few years ago is the Camelia? I bought mine on the Real Real and have gotten questions on if it is but I honestly am not sure. Photo below so you can see the color...to me it looks a little lighter?

Your pictures are so beautiful!! I was scrolling through the pictures in this thread, and close to the beginning, there was a Metallic Gold Beige (I believe that was the name). Is your metallic at all? It seems closer to that shade, but not sure.
Yours is beauuutifil!

Hey all! Sorry to be flooding the posts here.

Update: I went to DSW before my Target stop and saw Hollywood Fashion Tape, which I've never used for clothing, but I picked that up instead of clear hair ties. The length was perfect enough without needing to be cut that it adheres from the bottom of the strap to where the first hole starts. So far, it's held up. I'm a bit nervous about having tape on the leather, but I don't think it will tear at it. I tried peeling it off to see what it did, and it came off pretty easily.

I tried the hair tie on my strap, not this bag but very similar situation, the tie rolls up and down slightly and easily caught fluff from my jumper(currently it’s winter in Australia), it makes the strap problem slightly better, but not the perfect choice for me.

Thank you for posting this! I will avoid the hair tie option then. And, the double sided tape started to come apart after a week. Seems like the best option is the extra leather from the swatch.

Hi all! I've had mine for a year or so but took great care of it. Recently found out that there were some parts with cracking glazing :( attached are some of the more serious ones.. is this normal with the soho disco? Or should i try to bring it in and see what Gucci says? image.jpgimage.jpg
