Hi..Need advice..I just buy gucci soho disco from secondhand online store but the strap is to long for me although the strap is adjustable.. (yes I'm petite) Do everybody in here know if I can add hole on my strap in gucci store? But I dont have the receipt only dustbag..Please help me..I really like my disco bag and I want to wear it soon..Thank you all..

I have recently become a bit obsessed with this cute bag. I have never owned a Gucci before. I switched from Coach to Louis Vuitton about 10+ years ago and have grown a very nice collection (lots of SLGs to match my LV bags). Anyway....LV is coming out with the Saintogne (camera bag). I don't know the price point of that bag off the top of my head.
I'm trying to decide which I might prefer (there are no LV stores in my state, so can never see in person first), but I was curious to know what all of you think, if you have knowledge and/or experience with both brands. I lean towards the Soho, but again...have never seen it in person. I can order from Nordstroms and have hassle free returns. What color?? Black or Camelia? What are the pros and cons of the two? For Soho I lean towards Camelia. For LV I'd lean towards the black version of the bag. Thanks for helping out a Gucci noob.(also....I'm a sahm of 4, but youngest is 13. Oh...I'm also getting close to pushing 50 if that makes any difference. Let me know if there no way I should be carrying this bag at my age)
I’m a huge LV fan and Gucci. Have had many bags from both brands. A photo of the LV might get more responses. Are you talking about the new one with tassels? If it’s that one I dont care for it. The tassels placed in middle of bag look odd to me. I have disco in rose beige (same as camelia) and red. Black is prob most versatile and no color transfer issues. But the rose beige/camelia is a great neutral color I’ve had for many years. I’ve travelled with the bag and it’s great.

However, I really love the the big tassel on the disco and like you...I'm not sure how I feel about the tassels in the middle of the LV bag. So, color transfer for the beige bag is definitely a consideration, correct? Much like Azur for LV?
I have a couple LV bags and have the Disco in black. I’d say go for the Disco. I saw a pic of the new LV bag and it doesn’t look like the strap is adjustable. I think the Disco looks better plus it’s all leather and a bit cheaper than LV. I was obsessed with the Disco for a year before buying it and I’m still obsessed with it and I’ve had it for over a year now. I have an azur speedy over 10 years old. No issues. I still use. It yes more likely for color transfer with rose beige. Still I luv it. I say get what u luv and don’t worry about it.
I keep small items in a small pouch I’ve had mine for over a year and it still looks new inside.
I was on the fence between those 2 colors and opted for black as what felt like the safer choice. I’ve since moved to a warm climate and have been wanting a light colored bag so I’d love to add that to my small collection. Both are beautiful!Thanks! What made you choose the black over the beige? It and i think its over £1000 for such a small bag whereas the gucci soho is leas
Also the reason i got the gucci disco was because i like the fact the logo was there but its understated even though its big because its just plain and simple, the lv one had the little tassell which are small

Werid but it depends on your preference i chose the gucci disco because its nice and casual yet also designer and i can use it everyday
I got the black because i dont have many black bags but i now also really want the red x

I just had the same dilemma. I was deciding between a black soho disco, the new LV camera bag in black or the small marmont camera bag in black. I went with the soho disco. It's my first Gucci bag. I didn't like the position of the tassels in the LV bag and the fact that the strap is not adjustable. Everything else I liked, but I have enough LV canvas bags and was looking forward to an all leather bag. The fact that the strap was not removable didn't bother me. But I know it bothers some people. I didn't pick the marmont, although I love it, because the Soho disco is more casual and the pebbled leather seems more durable to me. ETA: By the way, the LV camera bag is $1,580 USD, I believe. So almost $400 difference.

Thanks so much for responding! Yes, I think I still like the Disco better than the LV camera bag. And I agree about the Marmont....it is just too dressy looking for my lifestyle.
