If you are not happy with the red, I would bite the bullet and return it and buy the beige. I recently bought a Ferragamo Fiamma bag in nutmeg and regret not spending a bit extra and buying what I originally wanted and that was a Mulberry Bayswater with strap. I am hoping that it will grow on me
Yes but I am super worried the beige will get colour transfer on it. I have two light coloured bags and I am always super paranoid whenever I carry it out. I was hoping that this one would be a carefree bag.

I just took my red one next to a large window and in indirect sunlight, it looks more like a true red. It could just be my inside lighting that made it looked muted. It's still not as bright as the online photos though.

I received my red Soho Disco from Matches! I was actually a bit let down by the colour because all of the photos online show a very vibrant red (like the bottom of a Louboutin) but the one I got is darker and more muted, almost like it's a bit dirty. It's still beautiful, it's just darker than what I expected. I can't seem to capture the difference on camera, because it shows up to be brighter than it is in person. That being said, after reading about you guys' bad experiences getting Soho Discos from Matches, I did examine mine in a lot of detail and there were no visible imperfections. This is my only Gucci bag though so I don't know what quality is supposed to be like, but I found the glazing to be a bit rough in some areas, like it bleeds onto the leather a bit on the strap. The stitching also isn't completely clean where the strap connects to the bag. I mean Gucci isn't Chanel so I can't really expect Chanel-like perfection.

I kinda wish I got the beige instead, all of the Gucci stores near me were sold out of the red so I never got a chance to see it in real life, but I thought it would be the same red as the Marmont, which is a beautiful vibrant red.

Lastly, I'm pretty impressed with Matches packaging. I didn't get a Gucci box, just a Matches box but it's magnetic and a good size for the Soho Disco. Also it came super padded with tissues, both around the bag inside the box, and in the bag itself.
Matches Fashion has the best boxes:)

My black Soho has the indent on the back of bag by top center. Have had the bag since June. Is this considered a flaw or it's a common issue?

I'm pretty certain it happens to every single disco that is usually used as a crossbody. I've only had mine for about a week but every single picture I've seen of older discos has that indent.

I figured out a pretty ghetto way of preventing that: cutting out a cardboard insert and sticking it into the back of the bag. I might just take it out though since it makes the opening tighter and just let the inevitable indent happen.

Thanks for the info. While I don't love the indent, glad to know it's not a defect. Wonder why it happens.
