Firstly, that's great news for you. Chase it up if you have to and remember to take a photo if your con note so you can track your parcel.

Secondly, my bag arrived there on Friday so I will wait until Tuesday morning if I have not heard anything or got a new tracking number.

I have asked that my bag be checked thoroughly and that it is despatched with the original Gucci box. I will keep you all posted.

On a separate note, Jimmy Choo Romy pump nude colour; Valentino rockstud bkack/beige pump marked down at Netaporter.

Thought I would put it out there. . . My friends want me to start a blog as I always know how to snag a bargain lol!

So I went to the Gucci boutique in Santana Row (San Jose, CA) this weekend to return/exchange my red Soho Disco (loose thread) and the SA helping me told me the price just went up by $210. They are not on display any more.
Just out of interest was it a new bag? If it was, that is the 3rd bag in about a week on this thread that had a fault (including mine). I would be checking all new bags thoroughly. . . .

Yeah it was a new one. I ordered it from Gucci.com and the thread on the strap (near the buckle) was loose/frayed. I was super disappointed and wondered if I should just return it. But I still decided to exchange it for another red one after I looked the new one over in the store. I really hope it's not going to be an recurring issue.

Not good! I haven't checked my black one yet as it still has the wrapping on it. I just checked the bottom of the bag. I better check it out.

Is it just me or have certain brands such as Gucci compromised on quality due to higher demand? I have to admit I was super excited to get my Disco and the early posts in this forum do not mention many faulty bags. I am a little disappointed. .

I think so. I very nearly opted for a refund but have decided that I DO want the bag. But if I had paid full price (without the Matches code applied) I honestly think I would have gone for the refund as I personally do not think that the quality represents the price. I would no way pay the current price for it. I have had Givenchy (Nightingale & Pandora) bags and have to say that the workmanship was totally faultless. The Soho on the other hand looks a bit knocked together - when you look at the stitching on the strap where it is attached to the bag, it looks super shoddy. Having the rose beige makes the stitching a real stand out for poorly crafted areas whereas on the black, the stitching would probably go unnoticed. If my replacement isn't great, that will go straight back. Please do follow up with your rose beige story - you should have contact from Matches any time now if they're keeping on track their end.

I have had an email asking me to confirm the shipping address which I thought was strange as the reference is my original order!!

I have to tell you that a few people are having customer service issues with Matchesfashion with regards to referrals. Not professional in my opinion. .

What do you mean by issues with regards to referrals Cabsms? And yes, how silly to be asking you where to send it when they already have your details and have already sent the original bag there. It all seems a bit backward to me and nonsense timewasting. Who'd ever imagine a simple replacement would be so time consuming and frustrating!

They had called me too for confirming the delivery address when I had placed the order. It was my first time buying from them, so I thought it was standard routine that they asked this...

I agree that the worksmanship is a bit not great, the stitching on my strap where it is attached to the bag is also very hastily put together. Sometimes I look at this and it feels like coach bags are better made. There's one bit on my strap where the glazing is coming off. It's not very noticeable so I've decided to just live with it.
