Hello, may I please ask what the “Asia cut” is? Is it shorter/taller/slimmer/wider? And how is it possible to tell or do you need to ask the SA? Sorry if this is a silly question

Yes, the shaft is shorter and the calf circumference is a bit wider. I believe it's listed as the "shorter" boot version on the H website. So they have the shorter Jumping boot and the shorter Story boot. HTH!

So I did my best for the pictures. I hope my experience can help you as tpf helped me for such a big purchase, and that it will make you smile.
Let's not call that my journey, it was in fact a true battle.

You can guess on the pictures that I am not slim by any means, and the boots fit !

But at first they didn't...
It was a huge bet, honestly... Buying a pair of 2000 € box leather boots that one cannot put on is a rather unsafe bet, or let's directly admit it is completely dumb...
In the boutique 2 SAs had to pull the boots off while I was litterally stapling the sofa to not fall on the floor... Haaaaa, thankfully we all had a big sense of humour and self-derision, just like did the other customers watching...

My pride made me refuse the stretching service, I first wanted to fight by myself.

In the evening I wore the boots for 2 hours on the bed, pulling them up a little more... I could feel my hearbeat in my calves !
The next day I had 20 cm bruises on each leg. Put the boots on again and then my feet could go in the shoe part. But as the legs weren't straight yet I remained lying on the bed.
Finally on the third day I put them on right out of bed so my legs were slimmer than in the evening. (And I take into account the fact that I was done with the few days of the month where, you know... you just feel like you're a plastic bag full of water.)
The boots surrendered and they fit completely from that moment but with a fat pad over the top of the boots.

I spent that day with the torn tights at home, the boots gained some ease, and voila !
I wore my so much wanted boots the next day at work, where I got several compliments and also many gazes on my way.

I hadn't even allowed myself to dream of them for years and they were my incentive for losing my pregnancy weight (the boy's already 2 years old now...).
These are so flattering and spectacular... Just don't hesitate they are worth every cent !

they look great and love the process !

Does anyone own the Story boots and can tell me about the fit? I have slim ankles and calves, not a lot of boots fit me but I love the look of these. Also it says this on the H website: "Two heights and widths upper are available (Story & Story shorter) to guarantee each of our customers maximum comfort and a perfect fit. The shorter models have a lower upper." Does that mean there are 2 widths for each height or just that the shorter version is also narrower?

Hello everyone, I hope it’s ok to ask here. My wife is looking for black boots with ghw, she likes the neo boots but when we went to a few stores before Xmas they only had them in phw and said they hadn’t seen them in ghw. Does what I’m looking for exist? If so is it a seasonal thing? Thanks for any help/advice

They do exist and you can use the reference number in this sold out listing to ask your SA to search for them. Note: it’s actually “permabrass” and not gold per the description.

Thank you very much! I haven’t actually got a SA at Hermes, and don’t live near a store either. Are these hard to get items? Do I have a chance stalking the UK website or contacting them remotely or are these in high demand and only really available in store/to those with an existing relationship. Also, have they ever been made in actual ghw or is it only permabrass/phw. I’m in no rush and ghw is more her style I think

A late reply but I just collected my Story 50 boots this weekend after a long wait. I also have slim calves and ankles and the Jumping Boots didn’t suit me. The Story boots are still a bit big but not too bad with jeans or leather trousers. Will be interesting to wear with skirt and tights but I will definitely need thick socks to anchor the boot if that makes sense. Very comfortable and the short heel gives a nice lift. I ordered the regular rather than the shorter version as I’m quite tall.

I hope this helps a little!

Thank you so much for this, it's really helpful. Do you find that they hold their shape well even without fitting snug on slim calves and ankles?

I know why you mean - the boots don’t seem to pool or collapse around the ankle and it stays up despite size and soft leather. That was the issue with the Jumping Boots on me so the Story Boots were a nice alternative. I hope you are able to try them soon! x

Thanks, very helpful! I think the jumping boots wouldn‘t work for me either.

Love your story of getting your boots even more than all the unboxing of bags. It’s nice that you are able to treat yourself after having a baby. Now you can wear them and look fabulous. COngratulations!!

I finally was able to purchase the jumping boots online. LOVE how sleek they look and how they makes my legs look long and thin! I have a couple of questions:

1. They are pretty stiff. How long does it take to break them in? I may have to choose days when I don’t have to walk a lot to wear them.

2. They are made of box leather. Does it mean they are prone to water damage like the box Kelly? Trying to figure out if they can be worn in the light rain.

I would love to hear how people care for the boots generally. Just picked up Neo boots myself.
