I gave my Kelly boots a twilly treat today! I saw the idea in one of the older
scarf books.

The black Kelly riding boots are very stiff! I feel like I have a cast on my leg...lol They are definitely going to take some breaking in before I wear them out.

My heels were slipping a bit in these boots as well. Since they are a bit large on me, I add an extra insole and wear thick socks with them. That seems to have solved the problem :smile1:

Hey I have a question about the jumping boots - they're made of box calf, right? I have understood that they're quite weatherproof, I even remember that an SA has told a tPFer that she wears them in rain and snow. How is this possible, if it's the same box calf that birkins and other bags are made of? I mean, why don't the boots make blisters when they get wet? This is so confusing.. I also find it weird that H tells that they're lacking of good calf hides that they could use for making box calf, as they seem to have a good stock of jumping boots everywhere... So what is the mystery here I don't get??

Does anyone else notice this or have I really lost it?
To be honest I didn't find them comfortable at first, I felt and looked as if I was walking in a pair of wellies made out of cement! However, after a while they were fine and I love them now. Like the Kelly and the Birkin they are such a classic and go with almost anything.

Thanks for posting this. I just bought kelly jumping boots, and for some reason, I bought them because I love my black wellies. Hopefully the fit will not be too big because i bought my true size, and I already want to keep them and I don't even have them yet! Anyway, Happy New Year to ALL!

Thanks to all of your comments and beautiful pictures on this forum I finally decided to go ahead and get the Hermes Jumping boots in black! Unfortunately they do not have my size, anywhere :cry: The Hermes store nearest to me did a search and could not find them at any other stores. Does anyone know if the boots are more of a seasonal item or do the stores get them in all year round?
