Giving TIPS to sales in order to get a BIRKIN?

I beg to differ. The information was shared to diminish the frenzy, not to exacerbate it. It was given in the spirit of helping seemingly newer members get a sense of how to form relationships with SAs over time. Never did I for a moment think I'd be asked for what I deem the personal information of sharing the name of the SA who was kind enough to offer me the bag.

The SA's and corporate follow these forums- I would be careful what is written here.

Hi
Do u mind tell me if the Tosca was phw or ghw? I got a call too.. Wonder of its the same one. ^^

I think the main problem is with SCP is that many of us were told to spend a certain amount ($10k and above) to be considered for a birkin. While some of you here who have great experiences with SCP make it seem so easy to just get a call from your SAs and be offered a bag. I think what I am curious about here is whether or not you guys spend that much money with the store before you are offered a birkin??
I know each SA is different, but it just doesn't seem fair to me that within one store, people are told different things. And some of you are saying that it's pure luck to get a good SA who doesn't play games. I mean, I wouldn't mind sharing my SA with people if he or she really is a good person and doesn't play games, but that's just me. And I think the SA would appreciate me for introducing him or her new customers, hence more commissions or whatever.

^no I didn't pay over $10,000 at all. I have purchased some SLGs here and there to know this particular SA and I do frequent the boutique often. But it hasn't added up to $10,000 yet. My DH did notice that the male SAs are unfriendly. The ambience is not exactly Van Cleef, Cartier, Tiffany's, Chanel, or Dior where the staff is friendlier. Van Cleef offers chocolates and french macaroons from time to time (with or without buying an item). Cartier will make you coffee. The Hermes SA I know does know me and calls me by my first name as soon as she sees me - if that helps.

What I was more curious about (and what drew me to this thread) was whether or not people can offer tips to get ahead of fellow buyers like me and Heatherlite especially in SCP. I am still waiting for the right birkin to come along..

The SAs in SCP are a hit and miss.

Is Tosca the 1st one they offer you? If so that's very lucky!! Many are dying for this color. Mind share what color are you waiting for? ^^

^As of this week, yes. I did go in the boutique last week where the SA told me they had no birkins/kellys and decent SLGs!! Maybe I'm back on her radar so I received a call this week? idk..

What color am I waiting for? Now that's a secret. :graucho: What I desire.. someone might covet and beat me to it!

Time to check out purseinsanity's reveal today!!! Those are major H boxes in her thread.

I have to agree with Heatherlite. I had the same call too this week from an SA at SCP about a Tosca birkin. But I was seeking another color. I don't know if her SA was the same as mine...but I don't want to know either.

SAs at Hermes are not the same as SAs in fine jewelry, e.g. Van Cleef or Cartier. Van Cleef and Cartier SAs are hungry for business. I would gladly hand out their names at anytime. Hermes does pride itself on exclusivity and building a relationship with a Hermes SA does go a long way. It's not a status symbol bag for nothing. ;) I do sympathize with those who want to get their hands on a birkin or kelly. Even I am waiting for that perfect bag.
I am sorry but i beg to differ certainly everybody is entitled to their own opinion but giving advice to new members name of a good associate by pm is no big deal as i would not pick up a phone and say you gave birkin over phone i want it too and do you think for a moment that they will oblige....ha ha thats very wishful thinking on anybodys part but certainly it seems there are some good SA and some bad in SCP and if i were in any of your shoes i will pm a new member and say look this is a good PA you should try to establish relationship and hopefully will have success in that.....its that simple and no body can take your names as we dont use our real names anyways....and i think no one wants sympathy..... I dont use it as a status symbol like some other people it is i love bags any beautiful bag and certainly Hermes is on the top list!!!

I don't think a SA give you birkin is a good SA. And the ones don't give you birkin is bad SA. SA only give birkins to their own established clients. So to their client they are all good. Maybe other's good SA is your bad SA. Does that make sense?

A good Sa is respectful and helpful and a bad SA is not helpful as simple as that there is no birkin or kelly associated with SA......how can u build a relationship with a SA that is disrepectful and rude?????

Go find someone that is not rude... How you know other people's SA is not gonna be rude to you? They are nice to their existing clients doesn't mean the will be nice to you.
