Giving TIPS to sales in order to get a BIRKIN?

I didn’t know that this was a well known fact that H doesn’t pay well for SAs. Are these the minority that do not make good sales people as a career? If this “well known fact” were true, then I would question why there are SAs that have been with H for 10+ years.

I am a SA at Bergdorf Goodman. It is well known that H does not pay well. I have 2 friends who worked at H and left to work at Chanel and close to double there paycheck. I know SA who take money at Madison H for Birkin/Kelly <special bags> and SA in New Jersey H store who take $.

Oh geez. That's terrible. Ordinarily I would say you should speak with the Store Director but if you also have reason to believe that the Store Director is participating, then you must call or write to Corporate. Hermes has a very strict policy regarding gifts, as other members have posted already. One of my friends and I sent flowers to our SA for her birthday and we made sure they weren't "too expensive" as we sent them to the boutique because we both live out of state. I'm sure that H Corporate would take swift action, particularly because this SA was brazen enough to text you about it. That is CRAZY!!! I'm so sorry you are dealing with this awful mess. It goes to show you that although Hermes is an upscale boutique, they don't always have very upscale employees. Unfortunately after that type of experience I would no longer want to shop there because I would be afraid they are doing something far worse with the merchandise. Corporate needs to know about this.... even if you do it anonymously dear.

I have also heard that H doesn't pay very well but I also heard they have really great benefits package which is why many people stay their whole career =)

that is definitely correct as a lot of IG resellers from Asia source bag inventory in Europe but never the Paris stores. bags that are sent to clients have receipts from lisbon, Brussels, etc.

2 SA's were terminated from the H NYC Madison store in 2018, rumored to be bribery related.
