How is this different from paying a Personal shopper to get your bag for you? I haven't tip any SAs or got my bags from personal shopping but I would rather do this than pay double to get B/K from a reseller.

I normally get my SA some little gifts for Xmas or holidays like restaurant gift cards or whenever I stop by store I get them some cakes, cookies or chocolates,...I don't see myself giving them cash as tips because it's more like bribing your SAs and against the policy of stores. But I know lots of people doing that with their SAs and got all the pretty bags![]()
This is true. My store has a strict policy that no gift can be over a certain amount. Forgot how much - perhaps $20? And it must be communal, not personal. Or else the SA/person accepting said gift could lose their job.I think its nice to give gifts to people who help you all year, post office, hairdresser, doorman, SA. Giving a gift for the purpose of an expected outcome to ensure you, as opposed to someone who has been waiting months, years for a bag ... appears to be a bribe. Bribing someone could cost them their job and possible ban from H.

hahaha I am picturing this in my head and just burst into laughs.I'm not even sure how one would initiate this kind of scenario?!? With a wink and an envelope full of cash being handed under the counter maybe![]()
What an interesting and rather specialized first post. So: How did you ascertain this information, and how do you know if it's true?it has come to light that the SA I was paired with takes bribes.
Not really sure how this being my first post is significant ?And I am guessing you didn't read the part were I have text messages of the SA as proof. I'm also not really quiet sure of your hostile attitude, when I am coming here looking for advice among t a lot of Hermes shoppers. What an interesting and rather specialized first post. So: How did you ascertain this information, and how do you know if it's true?
I am not quiet sure if you are making fun of me. But to answer you, they use Venmo and Quick pay.hahaha I am picturing this in my head and just burst into laughs.
Nonono. Definitely not. Totally irrelevant.I am not quiet sure if you are making fun of me. But to answer you, they use Venmo and Quick pay.![]()
Hi! I know this post is old from 2011, but I would like to resurrect as something has happened to me recently.
I would really love some insight. My SA left a year ago and it has come to light that the SA I was paired with takes bribes. I am wondering what are the repercussions of going to the store director. I am very upset because I know it is illegal and it's just very wrong, to spend so much money and then be expected to give a tip on top. I have text messages as proof. I am wondering is it worth it? Will I be blacklisted or will there be a stigma on my profile now? Is it confidential? I honestly don't know what to do, because I also feel as some SA's are conspiring together secretly. So I how would I know what SA to switch too. I know there are many hermes SAs and managers who follow the threads, if you would like to message me privately, I would really appreciate it.
I am not at all sure where some of these posters are based. I would be embarrassed to give a gift, never mind a tip, to London SA's. In fact I am not sure they would not think I went barking mad, if I tried to do that.I take it you are not about to pay a bribe to get a bag, so I ask if continuing being ‘above board’ with this SA will allow you to purchase the products you want? If not and seeing that other SA’s at that store may be ethically compromised I would perhaps move to another store. If you feel strongly about the matter report it anonymously to head office.
Let me make sure I have this right... You're saying that your new SA at an Hermes boutique actually texted you with their venom/quick pay account info for you to pay them a "tip" in exchange for you to be "offered" to buy your "desired item"? And you're wondering what to do about it or who to tell because you think there are multiple SA's in on this conspiracy at that boutique?Hi!
