Anyone know how well the candy bags hold up in general? I saw a red one at a consignment shop...looked almost brand new but it has the beginnings of a split on the side as the bag opens wide. I didn't buy it cuz I figured that split would only get larger w time. But mayb a brand new one holds up better?

Does anyone know if the color of this candy bag's specific color is Purple or Grape or some other variant of purple?

Thanks!

Good Morning All!

I'm normally lurking in the Gucci and LV forums but thought I'd add my little Furla collection here. I purchased my bag in Rome in 2011 along with the little bag charm. My sunglasses were purchased in Bologna in February this year and my scarf and cuff were purchased last week in London.

I was so pleased to pick up the scarf as I think it complements the bag beautifully. When I saw the cuff I had to have that too as it works well with my one other Furla piece which is another large square scarf in black, nude and citrus shades.

I hope you like! x

I have a Furla Carmen Shopper in Ostrich Leather. I first started obsessing over the bag when I saw it on sale at OFF 5th Ave. and when I went back to purchase it was nowhere to be found :( my boyfriend ended up finding it somewhere and surprised me with it. I LOVE the bag. I'm a big LV fan but I feel just as good when using my Furla;) I have been considering getting a "Candy" bag but not sure what color I would get. It's very juvenile, but I'm 24 so I'm allowed to be flashy ;)))))

My first "designer" bag was a furla I bought in Rome, about 5 years ago. I chose a structured style with a top handle and a removable shoulder strap (it's reminiscent of a givenchy antigona). I have since bought many more expensive bags like Prada and Mulberry, but I always come back to my furla. The quality is excellent, the leather is durable and doesn't water spot and I got a wallet and a set of three pouches that all match. I love them and they are classic. You can often find deals on bluefly

Oh my! I just bought the same bag...perhaps a slightly smaller version from furla.com at 40% off. Seems like you may have gotten an even better deal! How are you liking yours? I'm nervous because even on sale, this was a big purchase for me and I've never had a red bag. Is the leather as rich and luxurious and soft as the pictures suggest?

Well ok I just so so excited that I bought TWO Furla Piper bags! They both came in the mail today, one from Bluefly and the other from Furla. Without further ado...

That was the Furla Piper medium in Mandarin orange embossed ostrich. Made in Romania. It filled the room with the smell of leather when I opened it! I love how roomy it is...fits so much while staying very slim in profile. Very light too, and not bulky at all like my other satchels.

Now for the other...

This is the Furla Piper tote in papaya red with embossed croc, small size. Made in Italy. Red color with orangeish undertones hard to capture and lovely IRL. It is quite a bit smaller than I expected! Won't fit my 10" tablet with the case on. However, I love the leather and think the size is quite dainty and ladylike.

Forgive the blurry tablet pics and loungey outfit...was so excited had to take pics straightaway! When I was waiting for them to come in I thought I had gone overboard with two similar colored bags in similar styles, but now I see they are quite distinct. The Red I'd use as an everyday sort of purse, while the orange I'll take with me traveling and to work.

So much color and fun!
