Furla Handbags!

Hi....just want to add my two cents.

I have a not-so-good experience with Furla, I bought the 'Practica' tote back in January. It cost me 750 Singapore dollars and they gave me a Furla notebook along with the purchase.

Problem arose when two weeks after I bought it (and after have been using it practically everyday) the stitches that hold the hardware to hook the strap became loose. TWO WEEKS!! After close inspection, it became clear that the detachable strap was definitely an afterthought because the way it is constructed, the stitches will definitely loosen up/stretched over even after a short period of use. This is a major issue because I use the strap all the time and the whole livelihood of the bag depends on these hooks.

I then emailed the company about the issue and while awaiting reply, I browsed the net and found a blog that said Furla's customer service was one of the worst. It is. 8 months and counting and I still haven't received any reply. Not even an auto-generated acknowledgement.

Tired of waiting, I brought the bag to a local repair shop. I originally wanted them to re-stitch the hardware but they suggested to pin the hardware to the bag with a metal stud instead since stitches will loosen up (even they have common sense as to how people use their bags!). It cost me SGD15 (USD8?) and I've been using it ever since to lug heavy stuff around and guess what, the studs work!

The whole experience makes me shun Furla for life. Not as an act of revenge but simply because they don't have good after-sales service and the quality of the bag is not there for the price they're asking.

I've also owned 2 Furla bags - one wore out and the other didn't match anything so I gave it to Charity - in hindsight I probably could have sold it but unless they're archangel you don't get much for second hand bags....

The quality is average - the more you spend, the better the quality generally.

Hi

A couple of years ago I got a red Furla practica baby and a few months ago the bottom corner piping split.
Where in Europe can I find a reputable place to repair this for a reasonable cost?
I totally love this bag.

thanks

Certainly in Bata in Zlin or Prague (the Czech Republic). But I think that the delivery will be as high as the price of a new handbag ... Where are you from?

Does anyone know if the color of this candy bag's specific color is Purple or Grape or some other variant of purple?

Thanks!
