The lining in my two Collapse 4-Weekenders is thick, strong and smooth. Similar thickness to Massaccesi lining, but feels more polyester'ish. It is perfect for these big bags. The lining is a cheaper kind of polyester fabric, which is the only thing that I wish Ferry could’ve done differently (use better fabric lining). But I think I may have developed an unattainable expectation for a small one-man operation. I have almost 40 bags and most of them are premier, so I guess I’m used to suede and lambskin lining. I also have a number of Massaccesi bags, small brand bases in Italy whose designs are more conservative compared to Ferry’s avant garde style, and they use thick fabric lining (costs about 30% more than frrry). Just something to keep in mind for if you’re used to finer lining
But Ferry is happy to do modifications if anyone wants a small change here and there, and can probably remove the lining (but then you won’t be able to get the inside leather pockets). @Fancyfree what do you think about the lining of your frrry weekender?
My impression is that my Collapse 4-Weekenders were made a while back (maybe a couple of few years?) and have been hanging around on Ferry's website "waiting" for me
