It is really cool looking. That pattern is sold out now so it's good you got one before they went!
It is! I already bought it last year with my first bags. It was sold out afterward, too, but he made new ones to restock. If you want something specific you can always ask whether he can make it for you.

Did you get your bag in the meanwhile?

I asked him already and he is out of that color. Sad for me, but I'm sure he'll make many other beautiful things in the future. :)

I did get the Owl bag! I just took pictures today and will post them shortly along with a mini review. :)

Here is a picture of the Berry and A4 wallets that I ordered. I actually didn't order the pink Berry, just the soft gold one, but he sent the pink one with the leather samples I requested. The A4 wallet is leather but looks like paper. It's super cool in person. I think it was his last piece with that material as I don't see it on his website currently.

I originally didn't think the Berries would be very useful so I only ordered the gold one for the samples. I'm actually really happy with the size though because I'm able to put my car keys in one (they are the sensor kind so I can leave them in my purse at all times) and my Samsung earbuds in another. No one makes cute cases for anything other than apple or beats brands so the Berry works great for those. The A4 wallet hold credit cards comfortably. I'm trying it as my main wallet but I don't know how I'll do. I'm really addicted to my old one. Here're pictures of the berry gold and pink, and the A4. Closeups of the bottom and side of the Berry.

Here's the "soft gold" Owl. There is now a picture of it on the website so you can see it there as well. Here are some photos of how it looks being worn from different angles. I put so many photos because I feel like it looks so different from each view. It holds itself well with the weight of stuff in it, which is something I worried about, but it is reinforced at the bottom.

I prefer shoulder or forearm carrying rather than crossbody, but I show it worn all 3 ways. The strap has small holes all the way along the entire length so it can be adjusted. I show the strap at its shortest and longest lengths. He says on his website that he can make straps longer or shorter if you need it.

There is no lining but 2 pockets are sewn to the inside. The seams of the pockets are visible to the outside and provide more structure on that side than on the side with no pockets (I also call it the no-pocket side the snap side because it has the top of the snap on it). I show the bag worn with both sides facing outward. I prefer the softer look of the snap side and judging from the snap placement, that's how it is meant to be worn. Tbh, the pockets are kind of tightly sewn on so if you put anything in them, the lump shows on the outside of the bag.

The final picture shows all the stuff I have in there right now and in the pictures. It holds a lot and again, the bag holds up under the weight of the stuff just fine.

I would say that if you prefer a very structured bag, this one may not be right for you. But I find this to be a lovely, organic bag that will move and fold in a way that will ultimately be unique to this bag, my stuff, and how I carry it.

The soft gold leather itself is a dream. I want to just have all my handbags from now on be in this material. It is so soft, supple, and thick. The sheen is just the right amount, not too shiny, not matte. The color is perfect, not too yellow. Not garish, but just quietly glamourous. It photographed a little shinier than it is in person. I think the camera was trying to amplify the shine, but it is more subtle irl.

You can tuck the handles into the bag or you can remove the strap, both of which change how it carries and how it looks.

The only minor complaint I have about it is that the snap is not magnetic so it has to be manually lined up and held with both hands to snap it or it has to be pressed against the contents of the purse to close it. I did use it once where I just didn't bother snapping it at all and that actually worked out fine.

I like it enough that I've already ordered a few other items. Ferry is very nice and he's super easygoing and great to work with. If you have questions he answers quickly and in a friendly way.

I'll take and post pics when I get the new stuff and have time to do so. So far, I'm very happy! :)

Thank you thank you THANK YOU @fettfleck and everyone in this thread for writing about Frrry! I drooled over your pictures and descriptions, checked out frrry's site and social media, emailed Ferry, and got the Wednesday and the Berry.

Ah. May. Zing. leather and design!! I just want to continuously look at and pet my new bag and pouches.. they are so soft and smell so great and feel so substantial.

Love frrry's thoughtful designs and wonderful details. I'm definitely a fan of his work and considering the Book Bag in Soil next!

Thanks again everyone

Hi there. I know this is a fairly old post now, but could you tell me the colour of your beautiful bag? Is it Rock? Thanks!

So, I don't think I've confessed yet exactly what else I've ordered. I actually placed two orders after receiving the Owl.
Sigh. No self control. None.

At any rate, what's done is done and I'm eagerly awaiting 5 new bags. The first order will have the W50 and the Plan from the "Classics" section, and the smallest from the Collapse series, the Eve.

The second order will have the Ellipse in shiny gold (he doesn't have it pictured anymore so I put a pic of the white one below), and the Mini Moon in soil. Again, there is no picture of the soil, so I put his other pics below. I love how it looks so different from every angle and comes with that cute little coin purse. I also like the way it lays flat, as that should prove practical seeing how they're starting to pile up. :hrmm:

Congratulations on your beautiful new bag! It's adorable! :flowers:

When I made them, I put the straps on the outer seams, not the top of the bag. You know the portion where the leather is pressed together and has rivets either end? I put a strap loop in the middle of that bit because it is the thickest portion of leather and is naturally reinforced, thus being able to handle the weight of the strap pulling on it.
IMO on yours- and I am no expert- there is no reinforcement that would stop it from pulling the leather up when carried due to the placement of the strap attachment. It's gravity working, there's not much you can do. The reinforcement only stops the leather from stretching and tearing from the weight of the full bag on your shoulder. From the picture, it appears that he has cleverly prevented that (potential of stretch/tear) by stitching down the d-ring inside of the bag.

May I ask what he's done on the inside? Is it lined and are there any pockets? I lined mine but never bothered to try to place an interior pocket (though I have a quirky idea of how it could be done).
Thanks @jblended ! Sorry for the late response, work has been crazy since I’ll be leaving for my trip soon. You’re right, the pulling problem couldn’t be helped much due to gravity, it’s just that it alters the design so much when worn crossbody that it’s no longer symmetrical, so I only use it as a handheld bag now. It’s super cute, I’ve gotten several compliments. I just wish I could’ve made it work crossbody. Please see photo below of the interior. There is no lining, and there is a card holder pocket on both sides of the bag inside:

@AnnaLou congratulations on your new purchases! I totally agree that the Berry is so useful, I have the pink too and I use mine as a coin purse. Your soft gold Owl is stunning, and I echo that I wish the closure could’ve been magnetic. I prefer to wear mine as crossbody as I like how it slouches more that way. I look forward to see your new reveals of the rest of your purchases!

Hello !
I have been looking at Frrry from time to time, after discovering the brand on this thread.
I am seriously considering buying one now, as I'm trying to calm down my high luxury appetite.
I have always had an eye on the Owl, nicely described by @AnnaLou.
But I'm highly tempted by the Ample bag and its soft leather.
By any chance, has any member here already purchased it and if yes, how does the bag age ?

Just found this thread. I have 4 bags from Frrry and they are all lovely. The leather is thick and fun to touch, with beautifully vivid colours if you chose the brights. What I love is how durable they are: zippers, straps, locks. They are great for travelling because of the zipper and the fact they fold like an origami sheet so take no room in one's suitcase.

The owner is friendly and accomodating. I believe these bags are much better value than many designer ones.
