Here’s my first Frrry bag. It’s the Cube but made in vegetable tanned leather, with “notifications”, extra shoulder strap and a matching Berry coin case.

I was scrolling here one night and saw @fettfleck posting about his bags so I checked out his website. I’m mainly a vintage Bal gal, but was craving something different. I was also experiencing luxury bag fatigue (feels like everything is becoming same/same) and can’t deal with $$$$ price points these days.

I reached out to Ferry to ask about the availability of this specific leather since I’ve been wanting a Vachetta leather bag for a while. I did put in a few requests to make it “mine”, by removing the internal pocket... instead he made the matching coin case. And he added the shoulder strap, same as the bigger version (Pumpkin). I agonised if I should order it sooner or if I should wait until after my vacation. Nah, don’t like the waiting game so I ordered it March 10th and it arrived yesterday, the 16th. He actually completed making the bag in a day and shipped straight away via DHL, from the Netherlands to Sydney. A total wait of 6 days (!) and just in time for my overseas holiday this weekend. Talk about quick fast.

I’m super happy how it turned out. The size is great for just running around. Dare I say that it’s a bit weird cute. I can’t wait for it to patina and for the leather to even have more character. The craftsmanship is there and the price point is awesome. But what made this even better was how easy it was to work with Ferry. I like how he is about design, functionality and fun. I plan on getting more of his bags this year... Just have to decide what’s next. But whatever it may be, it’s gonna be another fun project.

I know right? I was blown away and impressed with how speedy the whole thing was. While he made the bag in basically a day, there was no compromise with the finish and craftwork. I didn’t really expext it would make it in time for my vacation and thought I’d have my Frrry just waiting for me when I get back but I’m actually carrying it today, a day before my overseas trip.

Here’s a pic of me with my Cube. I’m a shortie and put the strap at its longest so I can carry it crossbody too. I just wanted a fun small bag to carry daily essentials/for running around. I will get a medium size bag next for work like fettfleck as my next Frrry.

Love, how supercute your cube turned out to be! It really is an interesting construction and it looks fabulous on you!
So great, that you got your own personal special bag.

That is what fascinated me about this small brand, too, that Ferry seems to have fun realizing an interesting range of fun, pretty, elegant and functional bags, some with useful perks, like the possibility of flattening some bags completely and that he is available so easily for questions and other matters. Impressive thing that he seems to handle everything himself.

Have a great vacation!

Finally finished my last minute packing for my vacation tomorrow and flattened my Cube for the trip. I love it! Might have to get that Collapse Day as my next bag for the sheer fun of being able to flatten a beautifully crafted bag for travel/storage/the heck of it.

Found this link from his FB account and thought I’d share. Just a little insight and what he’s about.

Ferry/Frrry - Quiet Revolution

@afroken asked me for modeling pics in another thread. Probably it is also helpful to post them here again…

I filled the owl bag with an umbrella, coin purse, passport, airpods, pack of tissue paper and a mini bottle of desinfectant, which still left alot of space. Because umbrella is a bit more heavy, it sacks a bit more than without umbrella. I am 5“2‘ for reference plus a few cm for the heels.

This looks like such a great size! Does the strap extend any further than how you have it in the cross-body photo? I'm the same height but usually like my bags to sit a bit lower. Also, is the closure snap magnetic?

Thanx! The snap closure is not magnetic, but mechanical - do you call it mechanical? The standard stud thingy?

The strap I have to check when I get home (I am not at home over the weekend). It is adjustable, but I don‘t recall if it is on a short or long setting as I haven‘t change it.
Will check for you when I come home!

Thanks for the info! Mechanical, non-magnetic, who knows  but thanks for letting me know! No rush about the strap - I'll probably order the Berry coin purse/leather samples in two weeks first before deciding if I want to buy the Owl

Oh I see he's selling a popcorn pouch (he calls it the cube)! I love those! They had a huge surge in popularity around 2020, with people downloading the patterns to make them.
I've made them for myself (one out of nylon, and another from suede), and they were extremely functional. Love this veg tan version.
Thanks for the thread. I'll be following with interest. These kinds of designs are right up my alley.

I love the leather. Thick and smooth. Sorry - I got the last ones...
The smaller Collapse bags are in a different leather, - a very unusual glittery suede (Piombo or Sabbia). Feels nice and tough, though (I got leather samples with my first order)

Haha, no problem. Happy you enjoy them! I am actually still waiting for samples on the piombo and sabbia leather. Would like to know how they look and feel like.
It is not urgent, too. I can get my BF a bag some time in the future. Actually, I was hoping if Ferry would introduce the brown leather for one of the smaller versions or a black leather…
