Those are good enough fur temps for me
But yeah the rain kills it, if it's just a drizzle then ok but not if it's a steady rain.

Well here was my lil pink faux coat with puppy on the back that was going to be worn tomorrow. As you can see I would have froze my butt off. Not quite sure what coat i'm willing to get wet...I have to look at my inventory :giggle:

Your probably right about the jealousy part, I have gotten dirty looks on the same day woman have complimented my outfit.

You sound like a great mama
I'm very open with my children, down to earth, and so far so good :lol:

I'm on here because nobody appreciates my outfits lol, well hubby does, my daughter has her own young style, the rest of my family is scattered across the US so where else to share
And I love seeing everyones styles and furs!

Thank you, I wasn't sure how people would take it. It's very babyish but I love young things sometimes
Yes its true, some furs fair better in rain than others. Mink and everything in that family...fisher, fitch, sable but I wouldn't dare wear a sable in the rain. Muskrat, beaver, opossum, basically anything with an oily coat.
Fox sadly I would say no, not to my knowledge anyway, it's not an animal known to have a water resistant coat, but thick enough were a mild drizzle wont penetrate to the skin.

And yes a good shaking is all they need, and air dry.

Will do
Growing up kids often teased me due to my ethnic background and my dad would always say that their taunts were a reflection of their own insecurities. I was teased mercilessly for having fair skin and curly hair, my dad says they were either jealous (because they wish they had it) or they found it pretty (but weren’t polite enough to compliment it). Unfortunately, I think some of this jealousy festers and grows with the women. Where I live women would rather talk about you then give you a compliment. Just stay your beautiful fashionable self and always give them something to look at, I’ll put on a show. I’ve been known to wink, wave, or blow a kiss

I try to be the best that I can be, but to quote one of my favorite songs “if I am a reflection of [them] then I must be fly” because they’re pretty awesome!!! I’m sure even if your daughter doesn’t say it she adores having such a fashion savvy mama. I know I did! I was raised by my grandparents (who looked so young most thought they were my actual parents) and I remember to this day all my girlfriends thought my mama was beautiful and loved eating at my house and many crushed on my daddy, they called him hot cop!

My love of LV brought me to this forum because let’s be real if I told anyone in my real life that I spent more than $5700 on a single purse and a few accessories they’d probably question my sanity, but if they knew I do this regularly they’d want to commit me. This is my safe place!

I think I will just avoid the wet like the plague. I’ve worn my mink coat and a fox stole in light drizzle, but that’s about it.

You sound adorable! I love your spirit and personality :girlsigh:
I'm sure some of those jealous children became jealous adult women! That's a trait I believe. I was never the jealous type, I never felt envy of others, and believe me I had a lot to envy being raised by a single mom on welfare. Even poor we still managed to have fun, and at times I had more toys than my "richer" friends :giggle:

Some people can't even grasp that a purse can cost that much, they've simply never heard of such a thing. When I told my mom about one of my purses and the cost (Hermes) she just looked at me and said why? why does it cost so much? She just didn't get it, I told her because of the quality...she still didn't get it lol

Awww thanks! I can be a stinker at times, I’ve been told I’m a bit of a spoiled brat ;)
Envy and jealousy is an ugly quality, I’m always happy for others. I just don’t understand why some people are that unhappy with themselves.

That means you had a good mama who sacrificed in order to ensure you had the best, good parents shield us from certain things to make sure we’re healthy and well rounded. I’ll always be grateful to my parents for what they’ve done fur me!!!

I must admit Hermes scares me! I don’t know if I’ll ever own a birkin though I say one day I’m going to buy one just because. I wonder though does Hermes offer all matching accessories- wallet, make up bag, etc? I’m matchy I would need them all. My DH and I are thinking of upgrading my wedding set to a 2 carat solitaire and a 1.5 carat band and though it’s gorgeous I keep asking myself do I really need all that money on my hand.

I tend to stick to myself these days, I'm tired of female drama lol. I have hubby and my children, all my pets, that's all I need

She tried her best, she was young and I watched her struggle. As a kid you don't realize too much, it's not until the other kids tell you that you start to think about it.

Oh Hermes is wonderful...mmm mmm mm! Their leather is superb! It's hard to get a B though from Hermes. Hubby walked in one xmas and literally begged for one, all the B's were gone but they gave him a Kelly :girlsigh:
That started a good rapport and soon after got my first Birkin.
She offered us several after that but they were all colors I did not want, like really ugly colors trust me. So that's when I started to buy them on the resale market, so I can get what I want. Some sites do layaway which is a plus, fashionphile and Anns fabulous finds are good places to buy from.
They do have matching I believe, since all the leathers and colors are available. I know they have a Kelly wallet, watch etc, so it makes sense they would have the whole matching line. That can get costly though lol

Go for the bigger diamond! Never turn down a bigger ring lol. After all it's the one accessory that is always with us :girlsigh::tup:

I buy larger fake CZ's to wear on my right hand just for fun...10 -20 carats lol
I like bling

Hindsight is 20/20, I wish I had bought the vest but I think I was like 32weeks at the time and I didn’t feel like anything looked good on me.

I did like the way my hair looked, but the chemicals ruined my curls so it only looked good straight. That just didn’t work for my life as I wear my hair curly like 95% of the time.

Funny we always want what we don’t have, though I love my curls, sometimes I wish my hair were naturally straight like yours. I would love to be able to just run a comb through it with no qualms!

They are easy to find, the lighter beige ones are really pretty too. Yeah at 32 weeks I would have passed too, I know fashion was the last thing on my mind
Before I dyed my hair I was able to wash and go, but the dye does make it a bit fuzzy so I do have to go over it quickly with a straightener.
My daughter was born with beautiful curls (her dad is West Indian), I was so happy for her and it was so cute to style. Then when she turned 5 it started to go wavy....then as the years went by it turned totally straight! Now she's 21 and we both talk about her curls and how we miss them :crybaby:

You can find a nice one for that price, mine was 850. TRR had a stroller length, I was torn to get it, I waited a bit and it sold. Last night I managed to talk hubby into a shrug/short jacket. I will post a pic shortly.
I guess with the warm weather coming I'm trying to make fur work....short sleeved furs, crops, capelets etc

I would try it out on one to see how you like it, I am so happy I did, they come out really nice and look almost new....oooo and so clean

Thank you
I have a few more...ok more than a few "cough cough" that id like to bring in.

Here is that little spotted fox shrug by Lanvin that arrived yesterday

Hi Ladies!
I've been struck w HUGE SADNESS since I just suddenly lost my dear 17-YO tame parrot. So sad, so sad... so thanks for posting the gorgeous goodies you're all finding! I need some cheer!

@KittieKelly , this is GORGEOUS!!! I love it!!!
@NLVOEWITHLV , that's so interesting about hair changing! My equivalent was that I never had eyelids (ppl have surgery to get them!!!), until one day I woke up feeling weird in my eye-area, and suddenly I had eyelids!!! I think I was about 12. SO WEIRD. That being said, I've been trying to get my straight straight straight boring hair curly all my life. Grass is always greener?! :-s

I love that multicolored you posted, too! Don't think I could pull it off; maybe if it were a hair shorter! But I love the colors!

There's a huge rain/snowstorm starting right now. Never sure what to wear these days- I hate worrying about waterlogging, etc! It's that kind of storm where you're soaked no matter what. :yucky:

It's so great that you both have/had such wonderful families! People and relationships are so important. Now that I'm older, I completely see through ugliness as the "hater's" issue, not mine! I feel sad for ppl who have SO MUCH angst/unhappiness/misery that it just seeps out; conversely I feel grateful that I can recognize this and appreciate my situation. Living in NYC, everyone passes and lives/moves amongst everyone else- it's an interesting social study for me since at times I have to be very 'dressy', or 'conservative', or just 'regular'- it's astounding how differently ppl treat others who are 'like' or 'unlike'. What I do know is that everyone appreciates being treated as a 'regular, living-breathing person', especially at places like the supermarket, post office, delivery, store clerk, you name it. I've found that a simple 'hello' before asking for what you're there for makes a world of difference. Or maybe you all do that already- here EVERYONE needs EVERYTHING YESTERDAY, and it's your fault because you're too slow! We're just super efficient here and it seems that most ppl forgo the pleasantries...

I love that you love bling and wear it! Me too. But on a tiny scale  (is this an oxymoron?)

I'm just astounded w the runaround of these Bs & Ks! I'm just waaaay too 'Leo'/'Dragon' to ever even CONSIDER such psychological craziness. No doubt that they are gorgeous and beautifully well-crafted- if someone were to hand me one (in a desirable/exotic shade, haha :nuts:) I'd be overjoyed.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, after 33 years I moved to the country. It's like night and day between here and Brooklyn, it was a culture shock at first. Everyone talks...like a lot! Brooklyn we're quiet lol, I had neighbors for years never once talked to them or having them even say hello. We didn't care really since I think we all prefer it that way...odd I know but that is the norm for NYC and it's borough's. We just go about our business.
I'm finally getting used to people saying hello and randomly talking to me...but occasionally I still find it annoying...a NY trait I guess lol

Birkin's are the ultimate bag, they are big and boxy and can hold a lot! Even the smaller 30 size is a hefty bag, and they last a long long time. They are the most well made bag IMO.

Our internet keeps going out. We just had a gust of 62 and it started snowing this morning, it's a white out now. Last night was just heavy rain. We have a stand by generator so if the power goes out we're good.
We get 3-5 Nor'easters a year, usually with tons of snow, this one is meh. We're used to them.
Now the beach, that's were the action is! We would often go to the shore to see it, everything becomes so gray, the water, the sky...dang I really sound like a New Yorker now LOL

I tend to stick to myself these days as well. Marriage made my finances a lot better then most of my friends started seeing me as their bank. I was constantly asked for loans a few I actually did which were paid back then several larger ones which I e never seen a dime. Not to mention my bff since elementary school came to visit me while I was prego (on bed rest) and made a pass at my DH. Not going to lie her betrayal hurt the most. When my DH told me I begged him to be playing, I confronted her she admitted it. Her reason hurt the worst, I asked her to leave haven’t spoken to her since. Now I just don’t really trust people.

The wooing is what puts me off with Hermes. I heard you have to buy a bunch of stuff before they offer you a birkin, then you don’t even get to choose! If I spend 10,000 on a bag I at least want to choose my color/ leather. I can’t do layaway, I get too excited, I need instant gratification. If I do a birkin I probably would go the preloved route. I’ve never even seen one in person that I know of.

I am going to accept the larger diamond, I told DH I want to take my time choosing as I do not want to purchase another for a long time. I’ll pm the ones I’m considering.

I just gasped when I read about your bff making a pass at your hubby! Omg I would die! Your lucky you have a good hubby that didn't fall for it...not many men would hold back and not give in. You have a gem!
Yep that's it no friends for me, I'm safer by myself lol. And asking you for money and not paying it back, terrible. What is wrong with people? Well your a good egg, I can see that, stay clear from these bad seeds lol. It's true, I have little trust in people too.

Most of my B's are second hand, it's such a strong bag that most still look brand new. Hermes is funny that way, they gave hubby a Kelly right away without buying anything, it all depends on the SA. Our Hermes SA told us that she turns down people just because sometimes she doesn't like them...I can't believe she admitted that lol but I'm sure most of them do this.
But as a whole it is true, to get a kelly or a birkin you need to shop and spend quite a bit before they offer you one, and if you don't like the color they kinda get insulted, so I'm done with the Hermes games, I buy them online now, it's so much easier.

Awww so happy for you! Diamond shopping, this is so exciting!!! :happydance::yahoo::drinks:

Wow! Sudden move?! Are you happier now that you're in peace & quiet?! I have to live by the parks/water since I'm making noise ALL DAY; the city's filled w noise- it just never ends! I really miss my garden & sunshine...

That's CRAZY!!!! As in, I cannot believe people sometimes. Better you know NOW that she wasn't a true friend!!! HOW awful, especially after all that time!!! And what a dear, dear person your DH is. How fortunate to have such a bond- they always say 'you can't have it all', but in this case this is a plus!!! Wow. That's awful, I'm just reeling for you.

That's what I was wondering about the H SAs! Wow. I wonder if there are any who would 'just' sell you an item in their store, a place where they put things TO BE SOLD (imagine that...) If I were put through ALL THAT just to purchase one I think I'd just need to leave it in some vault, never to be touched by ANYONE, due to what hassle the replacement would be!!!

Good luck on your jewel-hunt- so excited for you!!!

Oh a job in Brooklyn how nice!! It's so close to Manhattan too, a quick train ride. Good luck on the job offer!

We've been here about 14 yrs now and I'm just finally getting used to it lol. It's beautiful here, but things run different so it's taken a bit to get used to how they operate.

The snow is finally sticking, we're in a blizzard. Now I'm happy

We should lose power any minute now. In just my tiny county 33,000 are out. We should be next...love it!! LOL

I'm all about lovin' bad weather. Me n' hubby used to storm chase for fun
