Great pic, KK!! I was thinking you would have gotten more but, then again, you don't live on the coast. I think they got the brunt of it!!! We got 8" a couple of weeks before Christmas. We haven't had that much snow since the early 90's. We went 4-wheeling around the neighborhood & took the Jeep out for a couple snow rides with a few of our Jeeping neighbors. It was a lot of fun.
Looks like you still have plenty of fur wearing weather. It's t-shirt weather here, especially in the sun.

Yeah it's not been a very snowy winter this year, what little we just had is now gone already, 40 degrees and sunny.
The temps have been above average so instead of feet of snow like we usually get we've only had small amounts 4-6" here n' there and only one ice storm. The rest is boring rain or snow mixes :(
The coast didn't even get snow, the shore is warmer than inland. They got some beach erosion, rain and the wind. I'm about an hour and 45 mins from the Jersey shore, so quite a bit inland.
New England coast got hammered pretty bad though.

My state still has over 300,000 people without power.

Jeep rides sound fun :)
Our neighbor has an old fashioned sleigh hooked up to his snow mobile. He rides it though the forest lol

Yep March is a cold month, I'm not hanging up my furs yet :graucho:

I love that!!! I actually JUST ordered a snowsuit since I don't have one, and hate being cold!!! Exactly for sledding/skiing!!! Last time I went sledding I crashed into a fence (who knew you couldn't 'steer' discs?!!?)

LOL yeah I'm not into anything that spins
Not sure how long you've been in NYC, but they get some pretty good blizzards occasionally. I remember when I was pregnant with my daughter in 1996 Brooklyn got 22" of snow, then other times after that with amounts 18-24". So get your gear ready for next year! lol

What a fur!!! Great choice and that is a decent price I think from Neimans. Their fur salon is always worth popping into around this time of year as I think they heavily discount in March.

Yes March they have the fur parade, select furs (not NM special furs) are 50% off. The sale goes on for about a week I think.

You keep posting amazing furs. Love this fox!

Thank you :)

Hi Ladies!
I've been struck w HUGE SADNESS since I just suddenly lost my dear 17-YO tame parrot. So sad, so sad... so thanks for posting the gorgeous goodies you're all finding! I need some cheer!

I'm so sorry! What kind of parrot was it? Most parrots are know for being long lived, and 17 seems kind of young to go.

I tend to stick to myself these days as well. Marriage made my finances a lot better then most of my friends started seeing me as their bank. I was constantly asked for loans a few I actually did which were paid back then several larger ones which I e never seen a dime. Not to mention my bff since elementary school came to visit me while I was prego (on bed rest) and made a pass at my DH. Not going to lie her betrayal hurt the most. When my DH told me I begged him to be playing, I confronted her she admitted it. Her reason hurt the worst, I asked her to leave haven’t spoken to her since. Now I just don’t really trust people.

The wooing is what puts me off with Hermes. I heard you have to buy a bunch of stuff before they offer you a birkin, then you don’t even get to choose! If I spend 10,000 on a bag I at least want to choose my color/ leather. I can’t do layaway, I get too excited, I need instant gratification. If I do a birkin I probably would go the preloved route. I’ve never even seen one in person that I know of.

Hermes is funny that way, they gave hubby a Kelly right away without buying anything, it all depends on the SA. Our Hermes SA told us that she turns down people just because sometimes she doesn't like them...I can't believe she admitted that lol but I'm sure most of them do this.
But as a whole it is true, to get a kelly or a birkin you need to shop and spend quite a bit before they offer you one, and if you don't like the color they kinda get insulted, so I'm done with the Hermes games, I buy them online now, it's so much easier.

There is a guy who wrote a book on how to play the psychological game with the Hermes folks about getting a Birkin or a Kelly when you go into the store- I don't recall his name at the moment but the title is 'Bringing Home The Birkin'. In the book he detailed what worked and what didn't, and he was able to get his hands on FIVE Birkins with in the span of a week (in NYC, no less!)

NLVOEWITHLV, I'm so sorry about the fallout with the friend. People hate in each other what they hate most in themselves, and unfortunately she seems to have coveted your fiscal/social/romantic successes in life and it ate away at whatever bond y'all had- revealing her own self loathing as a result. You appear to have a good man at your side and I can say that, plus having the ability to rise above her issues, will take you farther in life than she will ever hope to go.

I'm all about lovin' bad weather. Me n' hubby used to storm chase for fun

YES!!!! Anytime there's inclement weather afoot, I'm stuck on the Weather Channel and the weather Reddits like glue! And considering I live in a hurricane prone area, that's often!

That sounds like a fun read! I may look into that :)

Hurricane area lucky you!! I bet you have seen some beauties!
I have seen two tornado's in my day, one of them the sky turned an emerald green! It was gorgeous. Blizzards are my fav, last night while it was snowing I saw lightening, that was pretty cool. Thunder snow is fun too.
Of course as long as my house doesn't fall apart or a tree lands on me. I have come close to being struck by lightening not once but twice!, so it has it's dangers lol

Weather can be deadly though and I wish everyone to be safe!

I read that book! It’s a quick fun read. The guy travelled the world and made a fortune buying and selling birkins and other items too.

Aaaargh!!! Don't know where my post went, but that's what I get for TRYING to post while underground!!! The MTA ate it (along with 90 MINUTES ON MY LIFE IN STALLS TODAY, all WITHIN Manhattan!!!)

I think I was saying, I haven't had anything exciting happen, blizzard-wise, excepting that time we had 3 in a row, and someone had totaled my car WHILE IT WAS PARKED!!! When I got there, half of it was missing, in a 4-5' snowbank!! Amazingly, 2 neighbors actually SAW this happen; left notes with the hit-and-run's license plate # in a zippered plastic baggie inside the car (well, what was left of it...) The police told me they wouldn't investigate because 'no one died' (THANK YOU NYPD...)

I know, that's why I'm so so so devastated- he was a tiny parrot, a lovebird. The vet seemed to act like he was geriatric, so I really have no idea about their life span as hand fed, tame, flighted house birds. He'd had a stroke or something this past fall, but since he recently was acting SO much better and playful, happy, I really thought he'd be fine. I'm so so so soooo devastated :crybaby:

Thank you so much, I count myself blessed. Even if my hubby didn’t have two dimes to rub together I know he actually loves me. Together we’d make sure that we’re ok! Some never find that. Yesterday I listened to my dad tell the nurse he’s been married to my mom for 59 years. She’s a wreck with him being in the hospital. I’m trying to help as much as I can, it’s 1am and I’m just getting home. I’ve been on my feet so much today that they are super swollen and tingly.

I tried reaching out to my ex bf to offer my condolences, her hubby of not even 2 years went to work one day and just dropped dead. I can’t imagine what she must be going through! Even after what she did to me my heart aches for her.

I feel your pain. It’s devastating to lose a companion of any kind. Nothing will ever replace your sweet bird but have you considered getting another baby to raise?

Oh no! I hope you keep your power. Do you have a generator? Those work wonders and are a life savor!

Hurricane Harvey was devestating, we were flooded on all sides with no power, the generator was our saving grace. I was nearly 9 months and miserable but I did enjoy being flooded in with my hubby (who is usually working). However, when I started having labor pains and I knew there was no way an ambulance could reach me I kind of panicked!

TY both soooo much- I'm devastated and still sad sad sad sad every day :crybaby: - he was THE sweetest creature, and I miss him terribly.

People are so disappointing sometimes- it's also why I so appreciated my bird, who showed me unconditional kindness even when he was tired/grouchy/ornery - I've learned so much from him.

I'm so glad your father is OK!!! Phew. :-s
Thank you, it’s a very scary time for us. My dad is almost 78 and I’m not ready to lose him. They kept him yet another day.

I appreciate the concern. I’m ok now, it hurt but I’m glad I found out the true nature of our friendship.

I’m at the hospital now, I was afraid I was gonna lose my daddy. When my mom comes back to stay with him I will pick the kiddos up and head home to rest. Not out of the woods yet, but he’s stable.

Oh my. Wishing your dad well. I have not been following this thread as closely. Sending positive healing vibes your way.

Do I have a generator? Only the biggest one on earth LOL
It weighs over a ton, 8 feet long, they had to bring it in with a crane and it has a custom built concrete block for it
It's connected to our gas line underground, automatically kicks on when the power goes out and turns back off when the power is back. It's a life saver and a dream!
We lose power a lot in my neck of the woods, often for days, so it was a great investment.

Floods are bad, see I love storms but when they are damaging then of course no, that could have been dangerous! and to be pregnant oh I can imagine, awful :(

Here is my monster generator. It powers the whole house and yard

But that's a Fendi knock off?

I got one similar from ebay China, it was $500

I can't speak for everybody but Id rather see what people actually own and wear. Furs are all over the web, this forum can be too quickly flooded if everything that was on sale were to be posted no?
