Thank you so much! Last night my mom took all the kids to her house and I was sitting in the hospital with my dad playing dominoes (trying to keep his mind off things, while also keeping his mind active), we had a blast! Once the cardiologist cleared him to leave, my aunt contacted a friend of his physician to see if he’d issue a phone release which he agreed to. So I dropped my dear old dad off at home where he was very happy to get in his own bed! I too was happy to take my little fam home and relax!!! He was given orders to follow up with a few things on an out patient basis, hopefully all will be good from here!

That's great to hear!! :hugs:

PHEW!!! what a relief- so glad he's out and back home . I lost my father early, but really cherished the time we had together.

Thank you, that really made my day. I’m sorry about your father, regardless of what we go through with them it’s hard to lose a parent.
I try to be a good person, but sometimes I definitely fall short. I think the sweetest compliment I’ve ever gotten was when I helped this sweet elderly lady put groceries in her car, she said to tell my parents they raised me well, melted my heart!!!

I hope you begin to feel better soon. It’s so amazing how our fuzzy companions are able to imprint on our hearts in such profound ways!!!
That's so sweet! After all this, I realized I learned so much from my bird. I know that my next statement's going to sound bananas, but last night I just happened (!!!) to wander into a roomful of mediums (yes, really!!!), and was hugely, tremendously relieved when they all told me he was there/here with me, and lived a very, very happy life with me, and that he just 'had to go' (I'd suddenly been worrying/sobbing just yesterday that it was my fault somehow, or that he'd been in invisible pain). What they said was so endearing that I just continued tearing up, but this time in happy/relieved tears!!! I love this bird so much:heart:, and they'd said he'd been with me many many times over. Seriously I feel a huge, huge lightness after this confirmation...and truly appreciate those with this gift who share this kind of help.

I bought an air fryer today so I can cook and play with it tomorrow! Ha! Stay warm.

Ooo that was a fun idea!!

Stay warm too, and pray for no more power outages! :drinks:
You guys, I feel COMPLETELY gypped bc everywhere I with declared a 'regular' day UNTIL I WAS ALREADY THERE, so we resumed the (blizzard) day anyway!!! I could really use the snow day TODAY... What a waste of having to worry about rescheduling the day twice!!!

Aww, it did look like a bust for NYC. My mother-in-law said she only got 2" in Brooklyn. We got 12" inches here and I measured 14" in the front of my house. The power went out a few times, some people are still out from last Friday

I’m ok. Very bad here. Major power outages. Trees down. Live wires down. 22 inches in my town. I have power but most don’t and not expected to be repaired till the weekend. (Hopefully). My friend told me her block looks like a war zone. She said it was frightening last night as the sound of trees and branches snapping and hitting things was so loud.

Stay warm and toasty everyone!

Oh how awful, I feel for those without power in this cold.
Our electrician came to check on the generator and to add fluids, he's in Delaware county and he said the same thing, it looks like a war zone over there, he said he barely got out with all the road closures.
We have several down trees but were fortunate considering how bad other areas got hit.

Wow, that shocks me, since as you mentioned, we BARELY had snow that stuck! Haven't even looked out the window yet, but it's 37F and looks sunny! Hope everyone gets their power back, ugh-
