Oh a job in Brooklyn how nice!! It's so close to Manhattan too, a quick train ride. Good luck on the job offer!

We've been here about 14 yrs now and I'm just finally getting used to it lol. It's beautiful here, but things run different so it's taken a bit to get used to how they operate.

The snow is finally sticking, we're in a blizzard. Now I'm happy

I'm all about lovin' bad weather. Me n' hubby used to storm chase for fun
Haha, sounds like definite fun you CAN'T have here!!! Gorgeous being inside during a blizzard! Gorgeous pic-

Beautiful, KK!!! I'm glad you have a generator for power outages. We have one too for when we have power outages from tornadoes or other bad weather. Looks like you're going to have plenty of fur weather once this storm passes!!

Thank heavens, I was getting worried there for a bit. February was unusually warm.
I'm getting ready to go sledding lol

Hi Ladies!
I've been struck w HUGE SADNESS since I just suddenly lost my dear 17-YO tame parrot. So sad, so sad... so thanks for posting the gorgeous goodies you're all finding! I need some cheer!

@KittieKelly , this is GORGEOUS!!! I love it!!!
@NLVOEWITHLV , that's so interesting about hair changing! My equivalent was that I never had eyelids (ppl have surgery to get them!!!), until one day I woke up feeling weird in my eye-area, and suddenly I had eyelids!!! I think I was about 12. SO WEIRD. That being said, I've been trying to get my straight straight straight boring hair curly all my life. Grass is always greener?! :-s

I love that multicolored you posted, too! Don't think I could pull it off; maybe if it were a hair shorter! But I love the colors!

There's a huge rain/snowstorm starting right now. Never sure what to wear these days- I hate worrying about waterlogging, etc! It's that kind of storm where you're soaked no matter what. :yucky:
Oh no! I’m so sorry for your loss!!! Losing a pet is so hard. I’m still not over losing my precious pup!

The hair changing saga I can’t even describe. Mine has even changed since the last pregnancy.

It's so great that you both have/had such wonderful families! People and relationships are so important. Now that I'm older, I completely see through ugliness as the "hater's" issue, not mine! I feel sad for ppl who have SO MUCH angst/unhappiness/misery that it just seeps out; conversely I feel grateful that I can recognize this and appreciate my situation. Living in NYC, everyone passes and lives/moves amongst everyone else- it's an interesting social study for me since at times I have to be very 'dressy', or 'conservative', or just 'regular'- it's astounding how differently ppl treat others who are 'like' or 'unlike'. What I do know is that everyone appreciates being treated as a 'regular, living-breathing person', especially at places like the supermarket, post office, delivery, store clerk, you name it. I've found that a simple 'hello' before asking for what you're there for makes a world of difference. Or maybe you all do that already- here EVERYONE needs EVERYTHING YESTERDAY, and it's your fault because you're too slow! We're just super efficient here and it seems that most ppl forgo the pleasantries...

I love that you love bling and wear it! Me too. But on a tiny scale  (is this an oxymoron?)

I'm just astounded w the runaround of these Bs & Ks! I'm just waaaay too 'Leo'/'Dragon' to ever even CONSIDER such psychological craziness. No doubt that they are gorgeous and beautifully well-crafted- if someone were to hand me one (in a desirable/exotic shade, haha :nuts:) I'd be overjoyed.
I try very hard to treat everyone with respect. I always said I gave the same smile to the principal and the janitor, afterall, were all human beings deserving of respect!

I just gasped when I read about your bff making a pass at your hubby! Omg I would die! Your lucky you have a good hubby that didn't fall for it...not many men would hold back and not give in. You have a gem!
Yep that's it no friends for me, I'm safer by myself lol. And asking you for money and not paying it back, terrible. What is wrong with people? Well your a good egg, I can see that, stay clear from these bad seeds lol. It's true, I have little trust in people too.

Most of my B's are second hand, it's such a strong bag that most still look brand new. Hermes is funny that way, they gave hubby a Kelly right away without buying anything, it all depends on the SA. Our Hermes SA told us that she turns down people just because sometimes she doesn't like them...I can't believe she admitted that lol but I'm sure most of them do this.
But as a whole it is true, to get a kelly or a birkin you need to shop and spend quite a bit before they offer you one, and if you don't like the color they kinda get insulted, so I'm done with the Hermes games, I buy them online now, it's so much easier.

Awww so happy for you! Diamond shopping, this is so exciting!!! :happydance::yahoo::drinks:
I was so stressed during this pregnancy, I was so grateful to her for coming to “help”. I still get upset thinking about it. Sad thing is her whole reason was that she was jealous of our life together. I told her we couldn’t be friends.

I’m currently at the hospital been here since 11, my dad was rushed to the ER and is being kept for observation. I’m so worried!

 So funny! So true, so true- for me there is a fine line bt bored chitchat to just continue 'talking' and an actual 'exchange'...I think sometimes ppl are just really really bored (in small places or whatever) and just like to keep talking. No idea, since I was raised to just 'be quiet unless I have something useful to share'...

Yes, my dear birdie was my dear friend. I love love love love(d?) this creature :crybaby:

My SO is hearing back about a job in Bkln (gasp! It's fine though, I suppose, if I don't/wouldn't have to then schlep into Manhattan daily...) today, and it sounds like a huge plus if it lines up! We'll see...

Wow! Sudden move?! Are you happier now that you're in peace & quiet?! I have to live by the parks/water since I'm making noise ALL DAY; the city's filled w noise- it just never ends! I really miss my garden & sunshine...

That's CRAZY!!!! As in, I cannot believe people sometimes. Better you know NOW that she wasn't a true friend!!! HOW awful, especially after all that time!!! And what a dear, dear person your DH is. How fortunate to have such a bond- they always say 'you can't have it all', but in this case this is a plus!!! Wow. That's awful, I'm just reeling for you.

That's what I was wondering about the H SAs! Wow. I wonder if there are any who would 'just' sell you an item in their store, a place where they put things TO BE SOLD (imagine that...) If I were put through ALL THAT just to purchase one I think I'd just need to leave it in some vault, never to be touched by ANYONE, due to what hassle the replacement would be!!!

Good luck on your jewel-hunt- so excited for you!!!
I appreciate the concern. I’m ok now, it hurt but I’m glad I found out the true nature of our friendship.

I’m at the hospital now, I was afraid I was gonna lose my daddy. When my mom comes back to stay with him I will pick the kiddos up and head home to rest. Not out of the woods yet, but he’s stable.

@KittieKelly.....post some pics of all the snow you got from the storm, please!!! And maybe a pic of your favorite "snow" fur, too!!!

 I didn't wear fur while sledding, just my fleece pj's and down parka lol
Here are a few pics from yesterday around mid-day, it was a blizzard with white out conditions. Some tree limbs fell on my property, the gusts were around 60+, right now they died down to 34'ish. We wound up with about 4" of snow by the end of the night.
Power went on and off a few times, not too bad. The generator automatically kicks on after 25 seconds, then shuts itself off about a minute after the power is restored, so it's no fuss.
Sledding was great! with my new flexible flyer I flew down the hill. My shin hurts today though, I think from climbing up the steep hill, it was too much for me.
Another storm may be coming Wednesday, but it looks small as of now.

I love that!!! I actually JUST ordered a snowsuit since I don't have one, and hate being cold!!! Exactly for sledding/skiing!!! Last time I went sledding I crashed into a fence (who knew you couldn't 'steer' discs?!!?)

TY both soooo much- I'm devastated and still sad sad sad sad every day :crybaby: - he was THE sweetest creature, and I miss him terribly.

People are so disappointing sometimes- it's also why I so appreciated my bird, who showed me unconditional kindness even when he was tired/grouchy/ornery - I've learned so much from him.

I'm so glad your father is OK!!! Phew. :-s

Picked up my spotted fox coat today from Neiman's cleaning, they did a spectacular job. For 85 dollars they do impressive work. The fur feels much more light and fluffy and the white areas are much brighter :)
I wish the turn around time was quicker though, it takes about 12-14 days to get the coat back, that's my only complaint. They send you home with a nice big fur garment bag and hanger so that's a plus [emoji38]

What a fur!!! Great choice and that is a decent price I think from Neimans. Their fur salon is always worth popping into around this time of year as I think they heavily discount in March.

Great pic, KK!! I was thinking you would have gotten more but, then again, you don't live on the coast. I think they got the brunt of it!!! We got 8" a couple of weeks before Christmas. We haven't had that much snow since the early 90's. We went 4-wheeling around the neighborhood & took the Jeep out for a couple snow rides with a few of our Jeeping neighbors. It was a lot of fun.
Looks like you still have plenty of fur wearing weather. It's t-shirt weather here, especially in the sun.
