Banning fur farming is a bad move for animals. Countries such as China will just step in and fill the gap.

So true, and good luck Peta in trying to stop anything China does. There will be no accomplishment and animals will suffer far greater than they do in other more humane countries. But then again we are not dealing with rational human beings, have you ever seen these activists? Clearly they are not playing with a full deck.

May I ask your learned opinions please? The fur in this photo is from a furrier in England who is on Instagram @emiloufur Next to the classic red fox is what she calls an Amber frosted fox fur. What do you think in terms of its apparent texture and colour? It kind of looks similar to blue fox but I think I prefer this. I am considering asking her to make something for me out of this fox type (not sure what yet but probably a short jacket).

Any thoughts ??

Oh my this is so pretty, and I'm glad you posted this. I have been seeing this color of fox coat on an old 1980's tv show I'm watching and I couldn't figure out what type it was. I was just calling it blonde fox as I had no clue. They wore quite a few of them, jackets to short coats, and one jacket just had the body done with knitted sleeves in this color.
You should see it in action, it is breathtaking! and very different.

It looks a very modern colour to me, I don't recall ever seeing it before but perhaps I did and since forgot. I don't know the price of the pelts nor their qualities but they look similar in feel to blue fox (which is obviously fabulous).

The color is beautiful!! I wonder if this is a hybrid color from breeding 2 different color foxes or if it's treated/dyed in some manner. I have run across a few coats & jackets made of Amber fox in my continued search for another fox coat & they look wonderful. I haven't seen it IRL but the pics of the coats are lovely. It really is a beautiful color & seems to make a really glorious coat. The color looks to be one that would be a good neutral to go with anything.

The closest i've ever seen was on the tv show. They were blonde/'beige like that but minus the black stripe, they were just all solid blonde/beige. Hmmm perhaps those were Blush fox.

I have seen bits of amber frosted fox fur on EBay but people often get fur descriptions wrong. I attach a screenshot of a scarf but I would probably just get the furrier @emiloufur to make something tbh. Anyway, it seems to be a hit? I think I'll invest and get something for next year.

Ebay has more liars than i've seen in my life time
It's true, why do adults lie? and so many of them too!
The seller is deeply upset, and says it was her furriers fault and nothing like this ever happened, yeah right!
She said I can return it or send it to her for repair, I told her I want to take it to Neiman Marcus and see what they say and if it's repairable and if there are other issues that I did not find.
I don't trust her repairs, if you know what i mean.
It's gorgeous otherwise, it's so full and snuggly
Do you think it can be repaired? how much does something like this cost? I have no clue
Here it is, isn't it dreamy? I can't let it go but I want some kind of reimbursement. It was 1,800 dollars!

So sorry

Repairs almost always cost more than you think they will, plus if one bit goes it won't be long before another bit tears

I think it may be a lovely shadow blue fox. They are actually very hard to find

Simply beautiful. Is that the same color as the previous pic you showed? The fox hanging looks a bit lighter and more neutral. I'm not versed in all the colors, my untrained eye would always call that crystal fox.

It's at Neiman Marcus now being repaired. They charged a lot less than I thought they would, only 165 for the repair, + 85 to clean the fur and lining, total 250, no additional tax. And the seller gave me 100 so the repair will only cost me 65 out of my own pocket, should have been free but I will take what I can get.
They checked all the seams and said they were tight. There is a chance the seller (it wasn't her coat) tried it on and this coat is a size small, if she was a larger women she may have tore it herself. There was a lady in the ebay pic and she was not anywhere near a size small, just speculating but it may be possible.

Well I bought another one :giggle:
Lynx dyed Fox, 30" long. From a NYC furrier I found online. They seem legit, pray it goes well
Pre loved cleaned and glazed. Brown suede in between pelts.

I don't have hopes for this one, but at least it was paid with amex and I can get my money back if anything goes wrong. I can still add the same coat to cart, actually I can add 6 of them to cart LOL, so this isn't a good sign.
Stay tuned for another episode of my fur nightmares

So this is a new coat & the seller has more than one? Well...it's a beautiful coat & I hope it arrives in perfect condition! Is it coming from out of country? I really hope you don't have another nightmare experience like the last one. Unfortunately, buying online can be a crap shoot! Did you find them on Ebay?
