For Vachetta protection, Collonil Carbon Pro vs. Waterstop? Do you recommend Kiwi spray also?

Hi everyone! I just got my first piece of luggage--The Carryall!!
I'm looking for a protective spray or lotion to prevent any water marks and to slow down the patina process (If I could, iI'd stop it!)

Any suggestions? I saw a thread on Collonil Carbon Pro and saw ads for The Handbag Haven. Anyone tried any of these?

Hi! I tried Handbag Haven (antibacterial spray, nourishing lotion, water repellant spray) on my monogram pochette accessoires vachetta tab and it worked. =)

Pics of Carbon Pro! Hope this helps everyone
The moment of anticipation lol - more pics of my complete process on my thread:)60638341-E3B7-417C-A1AB-F0A32ADAA0CC.jpeg

Has anyone tried the Kiwi Protect-All waterproofer? I can't seem to find the Kiwi Rain and Stain and was wondering if it's the same product/performs similarly. I've been trying to find Apple Garde but it can't be found anywhere in store

In Europe we cannot get Apple Garde or if you can on eBay it's very expensive.

I use Collonil Carbon Pro on all my bags which you can order from Amazon or directly from Collonil.

I've done a demo to show the process when using Collonil. Second pic is my address tag sprayed with Collonil. The third and fourth pic after drying has a few drops of water on the tag and you can see it doesn't soak into the leather. Last pic tag fully dry. Highly recommend it!

Did you cover the hardware before spraying? Is it safe to spray on it directly?

Also, can the spray be used on the canvas too?

Thanks

Oh thank you!! Now I’m rethinking it. If it’s not too much trouble for you would you be so kind as to share some photos of your Nano Noe now? Congrats also  I’ve watched a few videos on it and it seems best applied a few inches away and evenly coated. I don’t mind leaving it to dry also and prefer if I can protect it. Where did you let yours dry, outside in sun/shade or inside away from windows etc?

Edit: Forgot to ask if the colour changes permanently and in your experience does it affect the patina?
I have let it dry in my garage... it’s took maybe 1h to completly dry. And it didn’t affect the patina at all. No color change. Here a picture of now. It’s been sprayed this summer in June.

hi ladies, i've always and only ever used collonil carbon pro on all my vachetta pieces, and it works GREAT. it essentially waterproofs your bag so you don't have to worry about rain, water marks, hand sanitizer/lotion on your hands, etc.. definitely recommend to do so that its worry-free when using your bags/SLGs. but don't spray it on the canvas, only on the vachetta, and cover the hardware or at least wipe it down after spraying

i always spray my new items before taking them out to use with the collonil, but also don't forget to re-spray every 3-6 months because over time you just need to re-coat the material. it doesn't change the patina, but moreso just slows down the process. and no, i've never seen/experienced a difference in color change/tint after i've sprayed AND allowed it to dry (i allow it to dry indoors, because i don't want to leave it outdoors with the sun and having the vachetta patina). i've even put dried sprayed vachetta right next to virgin brand new vachetta and it looks exactly the same. it will look dark after you spray it, and you will internally panic LOL but it will go away and dry down evenly and look just as before you sprayed it, but as the other ladies mentioned, make sure you let it dry between layers/coats

Hi ladies!

Seeing as a comparison has been sought for Collonil Carbon Pro and Nano Pro, perhaps someone can share their experience with Collonil 1909 Supreme Protect Spray as well? Wondering if I can spray it on vachetta and coated canvas to waterproof?

Thanks so much in advance! ❤️
