Finally Found SHEER Red Lipstick!

I bought NYC Sheer Red at Target a couple days ago and am pleased with it... especially since it's under a buck. One swipe is good enough for me because more than that appears too "cherry" on me. To warm it up a bit I use a FAINT layer of MAC chestnut l/l (I apply it and rub most of it off so I'm left with a stain.) before applying one-two swipes of the sheer red. To change it up a bit I add a layer of BE l/g from a kit that I bought from QVC. (I forgot it's name... I think it's "Teaberry" or something like that.) This is a good start to wearing red l/s since I'm not brave enough to sport bold lipcolor yet. A couple days ago I let a MAC ma have fun trying darker l/s on me and I thought I looked ridiculous! It was applyed sooooo thick too! I'm talking about lipliner that extended my natural lipline (I have naturally full lips so I'm not sure why she felt the need to exaggerate my real lip shape.), dark burgundy l/s and then the thickest coat of lipglass you can imagine. Don't get me wrong... I love lipstick and lipglass, but this was crazy! Anyway, I'm still searching for the perfect evening shade of l/s. Any suggestions? I'm NC30 and light olive.

Just sent in an order for a couple of Lipstick queen items. I'll let you know what I think when they get here. I noticed that none of the sites have sinners. All just have saints. Has anyone heard anything about this? Thanks!

I have found a perfect blue-red sheer lipstick for myself from Sephora. My natural lips ranges from pink to brown during the day. I've always stuck with the true blue reds. It is called Lip Attitude in Glamour G12. It is $12, but only a few dollars more than a drugstore lippie that sells for $7.50..

What do you think of it, for yourself? I ran 2 light passes over the lips. It's buildable color.

- I bought it and :tup::tup::tup: I bought a couple other colors, too. I really like the texture and sheer color. The taste not something I love, but it's not overpowering. Thansk for the tip!

^Excellent! I hope this color works for you. I will repurchase next time I hit Sephora. What other colors did you get? I'm lusting after the beige lipcolors too, for a change.

-I got G13, G07, too.

I can't do Nudes - not a young thing any more - would really make me look washed out. Wish I could...

Oops I made a mistake earlier - I haven't tried the G12 yet, did use the G13 - really loved it. I'm sure I'll like the other two as well (haven't tried them yet)

I use Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I also like a lipstain by Vincent Longo in Cherry - can't buy it in Australia, whenever I'm in the States I buy 4 tubes of this stuff!
