the only people that truly understand are my best friend cause she loves them just as much as i do and my brother cause he likes nice things as well. everyone else thinks im crazy for wanting to spend so much on them.

Well, they don't hassle me. They probably think I am a bit nutty about it, though. My friends think I am handbag obsessed, but that is ok. Some of them are starting to notice bags a lot more, so I think I have been a good influence on them. My husband would probably like me to buy less bags, but he pretty much wants to see me happy and does not say anything negative. Usually, he just teases me.
My parents pretty much think it's ridiculous, although we could easily afford to buy a Chanel or LV every once in awhile. I was actually talking to them on the phone last night and mentioned designer handbags at one point, and my parents think they're extravagant -- which is true, in a way, but my dad spends lots of money on bikes & skiing, and my mom loves to go shopping. Plus, they need to give me a birthday/graduation present, and I know they'd spend a lot on me anyway (they paid $1500 for my laptop for my high school graduation), so why not on a bag? I'm working on convincing them. What do you think? Should I just take my mom into an LV boutique or something?

Mom-yes she supports me eventhough she's 248 miles away
Sister-yes/no because she not into handbags at all, but she understands
GIL-no way, because she really not at all into handbags like that, she just looks at me like I'm crazy
MIL-yes, she is totally on my side, so she really understands about my love for bags.
DH-yes/no, sometime he may fuse, but other than that he's okay, darnit sometime he's the one that helps me pick out a bag. But the only way I can get by through him is if I buy him something, but other than that sometime he looks at me & shakes his head
KIDS-my oldest son don't quite understand, but my youngest son totally understand and that is why he tells me no more bags mommy

I'd say my mom understands the desire, but not the actual purchasing part. My friends don't care much for bags. The bf doesn't mind at all...actually goes to sample sales for me when I can't. I think the people who really think I'm crazy are co-workers...actually they don't think I'm crazy, they think I'm spoiled. I HATE that!!!
Everyone thinks I am crazy for having such a love for bags! THey also think I am spoiled when they see my collection of bags. I do not see anything wrong with spending money on something that will last a lifetime! There is nothing better that getting a new designer, it is an amazing feeling.
