Fading embossing on Empreinte leather

Thanks for the sympathy! The rest of the bag looks ok - but I can see that some of the LVs are softening. I'll take it back to the store and see what they say - don't have high hopes but always worth a try. I'm just afraid I'll get the "normal wear and tear" rebuttal from them. Sad that this style is no longer available.

You have to stand firm, always firm and respectful and they will do it or try at another LV. This just isn't right, I've never seen such flattening of emp leather until now.

Take it back. Don't let the bully you into believing that this is normal. One year wear should not be nearly as bad as this. Go back to the store and demand an exchange or credit.

Sorry to say, the embossing on your bag has faded a lot, this is NOT NORMAL and it doesn't look good at all. I would take it to the store and request an exchange or store credit good luck!

Definitely take it back! I've had the same bag since August 2014...my embossing still looks immaculate. That's so not acceptable! I just so happen to be carrying her today...

I must agree 100%!!! The reason anyone would purchase an Empreinte bag is the attraction to the embossing. If they wanted smooth leather then that's what they'd purchase...

Ok - I feel better that everyone feels the same as I do. I will update on the forum what happens. We have three Louis Vuittons in Toronto - 2 are in department stores and one is a flagship. Will try all three and see what happens.

Exactly - the embossing, especially in the noire or infini -is what I was attracted to most.

Hope you get this resolved in your favor! I never thought the embossing would disappear completely like that!

Wow. There is normal fading due to the leather softening. Hwever, your embossing is plain disappearing. Take it back and don't let them sway you into thinking this is normal. You should definitely receive store credit or exchange for this! Keep us posted.

This is so not ok! Please keep us posted. I understand some fading and softening, especially if you carry under your shoulder and it rubs against your clothing, but this is extreme.

So sad! I'm grateful to you for bringing this matter to our attention. I'm not going to buy one now. Between all the issues with fading and cracking, I don't think it's worth purchasing.
