This is really sad:sad: I read your post earlier, but when you were having trouble getting the pictures up. I wasn't expecting to see this much fading. So sad!! I know many people say they look over the embossing depth before purchasing and have turned down a few because it didn't look very deep. I have an empriente Speedy B 25 infini. I've had it for over 1 1/2 yrs and it still looks great, but I only wear my LV's on the weekends and rotate them out. So mine still looks brand new. So sorry the embossing has basically almost disappeared in the area. You could try to take in to a boutique, but I don't know that they would get this resolved in any way. But, if you could go to an LV I would at least try.

Sorry to say, the embossing on your bag has faded a lot, this is NOT NORMAL and it doesn't look good at all. I would take it to the store and request an exchange or store credit :( good luck!

After seeing the photos I have to say if this is considered normal wear over such a short period of time this line sure isn't for me. I would take it to LV and see if there is anything they can do. It looks like the embossing wasn't done properly to begin with.

Definitely take it back at once. The leather looks it has flattened (so the embossing has disappeared). LV service is very good, so i would assume they will either give a store credit or see if there is a new one to replace it with. Good Luck

+1. It's faded so much that I thought it was Utah leather. :weird:

Thanks for the sympathy! The rest of the bag looks ok - but I can see that some of the LVs are softening. I'll take it back to the store and see what they say - don't have high hopes but always worth a try. I'm just afraid I'll get the "normal wear and tear" rebuttal from them. Sad that this style is no longer available.

NO way can this be considered normal wear & tear after only 8 months of use! The embossment is non existing on the areas you showed from the top of your bag, I am sure they will take care of you. GL

I don't think that's normal wear and tear. I would definitely take it back.

I agree with another poster that if this is normal wear and tear after 8 months, then this leather type is not for me.

I am disturbed by that fading! Its unacceptable! Be persistent, don't settle for less! I had a speedy empreinte 25 I returned because I was really worried after seeing so many pics of fading! Don't be discouraged- I believe you will get store credit. I have dealt with many rude SA and I moved on and continue until I find a great SA that listens and helps me. Don't give up! My collection is now mostly canvas and I have several pieces Epi pieces! If you want leather durable LV- The epi leather is the best leather I've ever owned! My only wish is that they bring bag some with gold hardware!

I have probably one of the first noir artys as I purchased it the day of release and my bag still looks brand new and it's over 2 years old.ImageUploadedByPurseForum1449946805.888088.jpg yours definitely shouldn't look the way it does.

Wow I was shocked when I saw your photos :-( I'm sorry this has happened to your bag. I agree with the others, definitely take it back, I would not be happy about that at all after 8 months. The embossing is almost invisible.

Holy moly, I totally see what you are saying... it is literally nonexistent!?!? Go back to the store or a different store and don't take no for an answer.... They took back an ombre lumi from me last winter and it was bought in like 2011 without any questions because of the glaze cracking. And my symbols were still imprinted nicely.... And since then I have had my emp speedy and used it more than I have any other bag and the embossing is still there. I hope this works out for you because that is not ok!
