ok ,are to talking to me? I am sorry if I offended anyone by posting this thread :confused1:

OMG, you are one of the sweetest gals on this forum! There is no way you could have offended anyone with this thread or anything else! I guess occasionally we have to deal with the trolls, but I'm glad to see the mods address the issue quickly!

Actually I didn't know BBS would buy bags, so your post has been very informational to me! I am a power seller on Ebay. I didn't start out with that intention, but just because I thought I would sell a couple of my Betsey Johnson bags back around Xmas 2006. It then got way out of hand, and I started selling more and more because it was fun and profitable. However, I can tell you there have been ups and downs for me because of fraud issues over the last year Even that, it's still IMO about the best venue to sell unless you can sell your stuff outside. I now have some people that will request to buy something from me without my listing on Ebay, so that's nice! On Ebay you just have to take as many precautions as possible, and as the other posters state, there are things you can do to prevent bad stuff from happening. Ebay policy for sellers has changed, and it's going to be even worse with the new feedback changes. It seems to me that some of the positive changes for sellers only affect power sellers. As the other poster suggests, take some time to poke around the forums here and on Ebay. If you ever have any questions about selling your items, you're also welcome to PM me. The thing is I'm not going to be on the forum that much over the next week or two, but I'll try to respond as soon as I can.

I don't want to deal with selling on e-bay by myself so I take it to a local isolditonebay store and they do everything for me! It is great. They do take a good cut, usually around 35%, but it is worth it for me. I just drop it off and they take the pictures, post it on ebay and do everything...even if there is a problem...they just handle it and then send you a check about 3 weeks later. They have sold everything I have brought in. They are great to work with!

I buy & sell on ebay. I couldn't live without it. I get some really good deals~even on Coach items. I also make a pretty good profit off everything I sell~even after ebay/pp fees. As long as you follow the PP rules exactly you are covered pretty well. I have had a few mino issues, but nothing I could not work out easily. I have been doing this for many years now & I really enjoy it.

hrmm... I wouldn't take the $25 unless you're thinking of borrowing a bag there? But I thank you for posting their response. I was curious of that website for awhile too, but I sadly don't have a credit card so I cannot do this. Ebay seems to be my only option although I rather avoid the fees.

Ah, time to go to Craigslist? Oh, that site is so non user-friendly! :crybaby:

I know this thread is getting BUMPED by me! I just emailed them to see if they want to buy my bag. Who knows??

I came here to see if anyone has had ANY experience with this site? I've known about it FOREVER, it was mentioned on our local radio station years ago. All the "testimonials" are fab...but from what I've seen here IDK.

Maybe they were a little bad at the start and have gotten better with time, experience and popularity???

I've thought about joining but think I'll wait until spring/summer so I can rent some super cute bags and jewelry from their Coach selection!!! I love SS jewelry on nice tan skin!!!

I'll keep you updated. I did infact know that they will buy from the average "joe" but I think it's HIGHLY case by case!!!

I guess we'll see! I can't believe what a time I'm having selling this bag! I'm a little suprised!!!

They are hoping you will start "borrowing" which I've heard is rather expensive. I'd decline the credit because $25 won't go far there.

I have had good luck on ebay and the people who have purchased my bags. What is your husbands concern with ebay? Is it the fees or fear of getting ripped off?
There is the new selling community Bonanzle, you may want to check that out.
