I need a bag I can throw over my shoulder. I've looked at these in stores, but it's hard to judge the comfort factor of the strap, when trying it out empty. I've made this mistake before, -- buying bags with straps that are insanely uncomfortable when the bag is full of items (files and magazines), which kills my upper back and shoulder when I'm running around the city (I have an upper back injury).I assume the strap is comfortable? How many of you use it with the strap, as opposed the handles? Thank you.

Not crazy about the City strap. The only way I can keep it from slipping off, is to work the little "comfort pad," off. I don't know whether others have this problem, since my shoulders have ceased to be nice and square (diet and exercise starting tomorrow!). Also, it's a bit short for me, so my elbow bumps into the bag. I do have a feeling that if you are slender enough, it will stay on better.

However, don't forget, the bag is extremely lightweight, and that makes up for the sins of the strap....at least IMO.

The most comfortable of all the B-bags is the Day. That one you will forget is on your shoulder.

It's pretty comfortable, but honestly, I prefer using the handles over the strap. I will use the strap in a pinch, but I don't like the way the city looks on the shoulder with the single strap.

Info just in from the lovely jburgh :
besace strap at its longest it is 30", at its shortest, 17".
Thank you!

You are welcome. One more thing about the Besace strap. I am 5'7", and not a small woman (around). The Besace, even at it's longest length, did not fit me comfortably. But, there is about 12 inches of strap left over that did not have holes. I have a professional leather punch, and put 6 more holes in. They look original, the same size and precisely spaced. I was a little nervous, even though I've punched leather a bunch of times. :wondering Just not leather on a pricey bag. But it looks factory made. And the fit is now perfect.

Hi ladies, any input on how comfortable it is wearing a work bag on your shoulder? (if its possible?) I need a MASSIVE bag for work and the WORK bag is ideal but not so sure if I have to carry it around by handles! thanks!

I have a camel work form 2005 that I can carry over my shoulders but only in the summer when I'm not wearing a heavy jacket or coat and the bag isn't stuffed. I'm about 5'5" and medium size and build and I also think my handles are a bit stretched. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the work for your needs. Perhaps the courier???

This is a handle question. One of the reasons I love the purse is that you can easily throw it over your shoulder. Which of the newer styles, if any, have a greater shoulder drop than the city or work? Thanks!
