Hard to compare squishy-ness since my gold Togo is almost 10 years older than my BF, so by definition it is much squishier at this point.

This is the Simone, originally introduced on the FW19 runway. There is another recent thread talking about this bag here.

hello everybody. I hope 2021 is treating you well . I just acquired a Birkin 30 in fauve Barenia and I was surprised to see that it wasn’t as smooth I pictured it and also has a lot of striations (front and back). I am curious to know if anybody would reject the offer because of that . thank you in advance for your answers (and sorry if it is a stupid question)

She’s Barenia faubourg, which is grained! This is a stunning lovely bag. I would snatch it up in a heartbeat, but it really depends if YOU love it!

Hi @TeeCee77 , thank you for your sweet response. I didn’t realize faubourg was missing from my post ( I tried to go back and edit but I think it’s too late )...and I did snatch it. I just
my husband asked me why it looked like water dripped all over it and that sparked my curiosity and thought I would ask.... ( but it is the same guy who doesn’t understand why I bought the same bag just with different hardware so... ). I guess people are used to equate « perfect » with « over processed flawless » looking things.

You are welcome and congratulations! The marks you see are natural veins in the leather. For whatever reason you tend to see them on the Barenia more. Mine has many and I adore it. Personal taste I guess, but makes each bah look so unique!

I've been bugging my SA about getting my hands on anything barenia faubourg. Of course what I really meant was I wanted to get my hands on a kelly 28 or birkin 25/30 in barenia faubourg. HAHA. Anyway, she texted me today and said she has a 24/24 29 barenia faubourg that just came in and can put aside for me if I'm interested. I don't know what to do...I've already spent a lot since my last quota and was hoping to just chill out since I feel like I've spent too furiously in a short amount of time. I know there's so much going on in this post, but any thoughts on a 24/24 29 in BF?

I have never had this issue. I use twillies ever time I use the bag, including dark colors. I would be more concerned if the twilly got wet that there might be some bleeding ...

Maybe it’s a good opportunity to wait for what you love and save up for the right bag? Was 24-24 on your radar before this? Personally, I would wait for a B/K.
