I know it can be confusing with different leathers called similar names, but this thread is for Barenia Faubourg only.

Ha ha. I know the answer to that as I have a few C24's. The regular carries amount similar to the C24.

The Mini is cute to wear crossbody, on the shoulder or on your arm (with the strap doubled over).

The regular will look extremely stupid crossbody for me (5'8" and US size 4 or 6). I did that with the C24 and the bag literally wore me crossbody. It will look fine on the shoulder or carried on your arm.

If you don’t mind, can I ask why you chose this leather? Do you already have an extensive collection of B and K bags already? This would be my first B so I’m a little nervous about my big day!! Just want to convince myself this is an amazing opportunity over holding out for a more classic color/leather.

Hi! Congrats on your offer!

BF is a wonderful leather and in a class all it’s own! I originally asked my SA for a gold PHW birkin in Togo. When the BF came in, he offered it to me. I love it even more than gold! It was such a wonderful surprise. It is a rich velvety leather and is a bit thicker and sturdier than Togo. I like structured Bs so this works for me! Even though I dress business formal or business casual for work every day, I find that this bag works no matter what I wear. It’s my work horse and looks awesome with a pencil skirt or jeans. Surprisingly, it also goes with pretty much any color I wear - I have to work harder to match and outfit with my malachite. It is the only Hermes bag that I have received a compliment on.

One thing to consider is whether you will enjoy the patina process. My BF has started to darken ever so slightly around the corners and will eventually develop a rich patina. I am very careful with my bags, but this is something that will just happen no matter what you do. I was afraid of it initially, but I now embrace it. I love the slightly rustic elegance it gives the bag. Unless you want dark handles, you need to wrap with twillies.

My BF was my second birkin. I now have three - etoupe, BF, and malachite. I am SO glad I got my BF as it is unlike any of my other bags and has something so unique about it.

Trust your gut. You will know when you see it if it makes your heart sing! Happy to answer any other questions you might have!

I do so love the uniqueness of the leather. It’s not a B you see everyday, that’s for sure. And I’ve seen a lot of B’s in the wild.

Ah my gut. My famously insecure gut. But hearing a lot of people like yourself say it is very easy to carry (casually, to work, matching universally with clothing) is really getting me excited that this is the one for me!! I feel like a dark B would be too much for everyday and it would spend a lot of time packed away...

I don’t know what climate you are in, but in addition to going with almost anything BF works for me year round. I thought it might come off “heavy” in the summer, but it’s been my most reached for bag. Obviously it’s a stunner for fall and winter.

My gut is annoying to. It never listens. My gut told me not to go for BF. I don’t like stains, I don’t like things changing, etc. But there was just something about that bag. It stole my heart. There will be lots of opportunities for you to get traditional bags. I love mine and wouldn’t trade them. But I am so very glad I let my inner perfectionist go away for just long enough to swipe the credit card on this beauty ...

Hi, bag twin! I just got it. The B35 barenia! My very first B!!

I’m in SoCal so minimal cold or crazy weather. I think that also means I can wear her year round too!!

I will just have to look forward to my future traditional color bags. Looks like more blankets and jewelry are in my future ;). Not such a terrible thing.

Yay twins! You will be so happy! I think you will be very happy as the classics will be around forever. These BFs are unicorns. Glad you snapped one up. How about that smell????!!
