I know it can be confusing with different leathers called similar names, but this thread is for Barenia Faubourg only.

Here are a few pix. I’m not good at lighting or shadow removal.

I’m not sure if I would have purchased yours, as I’ve only purchased Phw up to now. But I do think your bag is a very nice piece and I might have grabbed it…as I’m really loving barenia these days….and yours is the smooth barenia, which I really do love.
As soon as the weather here cools off, I’ll be throwing this on frequently….

Thank you for taking the time to take the pictures and you’re right they are very similar. I really like yours as well seems very versatile and usable. I’d usually go for palladium hardware as well, but I thought I’d switch it up since I have a jypsiere with gold hardware in gold Claremont and I really liked it. The more I talk about it I’ve made the decision to keep it. It really is unique you don’t see it every day and today. It actually wasn’t as bad as I thought and you’re right it’s smooth Barenia, which is not easy to come by. I would love to have a Kelly in smooth barenia, but I doubt I’ll ever find one especially at these prices and this was very very reasonable and in really really good condition so I think it’s the keeper I was a little apprehensive at first but thanks to my support system here on purse forum I’ve gotten over it.

I think you’ll be happy with your decision. I have an older smooth barenia Evelyn that I carry every chance I get. I haven’t seen many barenia bags that are the smooth version….when you take it out for its first outing, maybe you can post a pix of how you wear it….
