Ever purged your collection in pursuit of one bag? How did it go?

Kimmi.... I don't think you'd be insulting her at all... just tell her you have an amazing bag but is too heavy for you to carry. Let her know you'd love for her to be able to use such a wonderful bag.... I'm sure she'll be happy to take it off your hands!

Thanks everyone, you are all so nice and I appreciate your advice always! This bag is in perfect condition, I have only carried it twice. I had seen it on someone and loved it, bought it only to realize that the weight of all the junk I carry every day is better distributed in a handheld satchel than a shoulder bag. My sister is younger and stronger than me so I really hope she is happy with it!

Great to hear! I bet that your sister would love it. My younger sis is still in school and doesn't have much money...and she's a cosmetics junkie, so whenever I have stuff that I don't use or have only used once or twice, I give it to her and her friends. They go nuts!!!

If the bag is in perfect condition then I think it's a very kind gesture to offer it to your sis.

Well said, I love that! I want every bag I own to ellicit this--"I can't believe I actually own this bag!!" feeling. It should be special, I know that sounds lame but if I have to lug all this stuff around every day in a bag, I think I should really love the bag!

No, not lame at all! It's so easy to over accumulate that all of our favorites end up getting watered down by all of our so-so items. I think it's a great goal to want to love everything in your closet. Not always the easiest, but definitely worth the effort.

Totally agreed. I've given my mom and grandma bags, and they have loved them and worn them daily!

Kimmi, I give bags to my sister, mom and friends all the time. I simply tell them that the bag is not working for me and if they want it, it's theirs. They are always thrilled!
