congrats lo!!! the betty is so hot! i forgot how cool it is. the black and silver look fabulous... one of my favorite combinations. how do you like the double straps on it?

Lo Before you go all Chloe - remember how crazy you were for YSL - would you rather have any of those bags instead of your new Betty? You might find other bags you want more than your current list! (I know - it's virtual shopping - but I tend to make virtual into the real world)

On other news - I listed two more bags.
And I think a reasonable offer is within 30% of the asking price - less than that is insulting.

^^that's what I thought. Seems like some people get insulted if it's not close to the BIN number or not the BIN number itself.

I have lost sales due to my hesitation to let things go, and I think that has to do with me not making up my mind what at what exact price I really want to let it go. I find things go much smoother when I have a discussion with myself beforehand.

Re: Reasonable offer: Mine is 80% of the price I list it at. I usually list at a really fair price already, so if the person is willing to pay the full price I list, that's awesome (and also still a deal for them), but I will accept down to around 80%. Sometimes 75% depending on how desperate I am, but usually no less cause the items I sell aren't super expensive to begin with...

Congrats, Lo. You are doing well!!

Vintage Leather, thanks for the question - I really appreciate the reminder of my love for YSL, it's a fantastic way to keep me on track!!! YSL and Chloe are def. right in line with what I am looking for and what fits in with my wardrobe and lifestyle (Mulberry fits in there as well, though there are less styles in that brand that I favor). I am kind of nervous about having one brand dominate my small collection...but I am doing TONS of research before each purchase and thinking it over to bits, so nothing is an impulse buy. The bag has to not only match my lifestyle and wardrobe, it also has to match my budget (and be in mint or NWT condition ;)).

I have been carrying the Betty since it arrived and it was a great choice for me. It has actually made me reconsider my fear of satchels! I still don't think that I would like to have a closet full of just satchels, though, especially for travel.

Hey thithi! ;) The Betty is indeed hot...and the double straps are great. They are a tight fit over a bulky winter coat (not so much because of the length of the straps, but more due to the satchel shape - but I have heard that the bag starts to smoosh quickly) but fit well over lighter garments.

I am so excited that the bags that I am choosing now seem to be universal "keepers." And the fact that I am waiting a lot longer between purchases is allowing me to get to enjoy each bag all that much more. :D

Lo, I notice you have 7 bags in your signature now...is that the total number of bags you're aiming for?

Hi doreen!:D To answer your (excellent) question: nope. I am officially aiming for 5, and these are the current contenders. :p

Tomorrow the list might change, who knows? I am really enjoying my virtual bag collection...probably even more than my previous real-life collection!!!
