I have the N/S in Dark Dune & love it!! I also have an E/W in Aqua & the Outlet Version of the E/W in Luggage. The Retail E/W is significantly smaller than the N/S & is smaller than the Outlet version, too. Due to that, I do not carry the E/W as often as I would if it were larger. The Outlet version has the zippered divider & I don't mind that at all. I'm going to definitely have to see this IRL. I'm wondering, since the price is the same as the N/S...is the N/S going to be increased in price? I would think this new bag would be priced in between the N/S & the E/W. But what do I know...I'm not in marketing. LOL

Looks like I'm going to be on the look out for sales deals. I wish it came in more colors, tho.

It retails here in navy, luggage, optic white, chilli and black. All with ghw. They are not selling the dark dune EW european version anymore. It only comes in the EW without the inner pocket and without the adjustable strap at a lower price.

What we called the European version (now the large Hamilton satchel) sold at Saks last year in navy and mandarin for a "hot minute" before it sold out. I tried to take a look at it, but never got a chance. It looks like MK is bringing it to the USA this year more widely. I believe it was always the same price as the n/s Hamilton tote (now the large Hamilton tote), so I don't think they'll be raising the price of the large Hamilton tote to accommodate the large Hamilton satchel. The pictures for it on the MK website show the e/w Hamilton satchel (now the medium Hamilton satchel) instead of the large Hamilton satchel, so the pictures don't show the zippered compartment divider or the removable, adjustable shoulder strap.

I like the idea of the removable strap. So...I'm a little confused...this in not the European version...it's a new bag all together? What's the difference between the European version & the US version? I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning so my brain isn't firing on all cylinders yet. LOL

That's what's confusing me...the pics on the website looked like the E/W version. I wonder when his site will be updated with the correct info. So this version has the zippered divider like the Outlet Version?

I don't know about the version on the MK site, but my bag has one.Enclosed is a photo of the bag sold here. Its in Chilli with ghw. Looks very similar to mine, and has the same mesurements. Also Chilli is a fairly new color, so I don't see how there are two almost identical bags?

Im not sure about the outlet versions but the Large Hamilton Satchel was only RECENTLY made avalible to U.S. Markets. Now, U.S. version is identical to the Euro only in size (14" X 10.5" X 5.5"). Unlike the Euro version, the strap is not adjustable nor is the strap removable. The U.S. bag does not have the inside middle organizer pocket either! all in all, it's a downgrade from the Euro version. Kinda dissapointed... I have been trying for the longest time to get my hands on one of these bad boys but now that it's availible to me, I find out there's a better version of it floating around on the other side of earth! Lol. What's up with that Michael Kors???!

Wait! So the new large Hamilton satchel being sold in the USA does not have the middle section divider like the European version? That actually makes it more appealing to me. :happydance: Also, since the shoulder strap is not removable or adjustable, is it the same width as the shoulder strap on the n/s Hamilton tote? If it is, then I NEED to take another look at the large Hamilton satchel. :woohoo:

So...the US version does not have an adjustable or removable shoulder strap or the interior zippered divider? Frankly, I don't really understand all the different variations! I like this one but having an adjustable/removable shoulder strap would be a definite selling plus for me. I can deal with the zippered divider. I have some purses that have it & others that don't. This should also come in more colors as well. Wonder if MK will be bringing more colors for Summer & Fall.....

same goes for me. It would definitely be a plus to have the removable, adjustable strap on the satchel. Also having the middle Compartment would allow me to carry my files without having to worry about the other items in my bag causing damage. In fact, I think I would have purchased the bag in 3 different colors by now if it had those things!
That's another thing that I don't like about MK. There are sooo many inconsistencies in design for the same Style! I have 3 Hamilton Totes that i have purchased over the years all with various changes but all purchased at the same retailer (Macys).
I have BEEN waiting for more colors and still hasn't happend. I complain, yet I still think it's an absolutley Beautiful Bag. I haven't purchased it because I'm just not that into any of the colors.... oh, life's difficult decisions. ... lol...

The link you provided doesn't work for me, but I know which bag on the MK site you are referring to. Do you know if the shoulder strap is the same width as the one on the n/s Hamilton tote? You mentioned that you have several Hamilton totes, so I was just wondering if you compared the shoulder straps. Thanks for all this info.
