Hi all - what a wonderful thread! I thought I'd share my story...

Sorry the pic is so fuzzy - can't seem to take a good close-up with a blackberry. The round brilliant is tension set in two-tone gold, and then I have yellow gold channel set bands on either side.

When my DH and I got married 10 years ago, I had the engagement ring and one band. Three years ago we split up and eventually got divorced:sad: But one month after filing, we started dating again, and got re-married earlier this year.:heart: An estate jeweller found an exact match to my original wedding band and now I have all three rings soldered together!

Thank you so much! I SO do not regret having a (yellow) colored diamond as my main stone. I wanted something unique, and though the setting is somewhat traditional, the yellow diamond is less so. Don't get me wrong, I see MANY GORGEOUS white diamonds that look stunning on the hands of others - and a lot of them are here on this thread - but this ring is definitely ME :yahoo:.

You're absolutely right, Foxgal! Though most of my jewelry is silver, white gold or platinum, I do have a few gold pieces which I don't feel weird wearing since I have a two-toned ring.

BTW, what a lovely story! I'm so glad that you found love again with your husband! Congratulations!!!!!

Here are mineThe first set is real diamonds, lol. I will explain in a minute. 1 ct 3 stone with princess cut stones down the sides. 5/8ct enhancer band with princess cuts.

2nd Pic (OK here it comes) is a 2ct CZ stone in white gold. I am having issues buying diamonds not because of price but because of political reasons. One pic is with a plain gold band and the other is with my princess cut diamond enhancer band.

They are all my favorites so I guess I will switch off wearing them.
