I am 5 foot 2 and I am loving the large in saddle. I like large bags though. I don't find it to be huge. And it isn't too heavy to me either. Much lighter than my old Zoe! I honestly adore it and am scheming a way to buy black also!

Oh oh oh! You are enabling me to get it in purple (at no option for me to return it at all because I am out of US). Oh dear!

I share the same thoughts as you. I am about 6 feet tall but also wary of the size.... personally I am so tempted with that gorgeous purple.

If I was your height I would totally go for it, no second thoughts! I have seen the purple in person, it is really pretty. I am now even considering doing the large embossed but if I do another L&T charge and not loving either it will be 2 pretty large returns. At this point I am driving fiancé crazy, lol. :)

Thank you for your feedback! Currently I have been carrying the Penny around, and will be getting a second color on my birthday this week (so excited!), so that is the opposite of large, hah. I am not opposed to large bags so long as they aren't too heavy or overwhelming. Do you have any mod shots? The smaller Edie I saw and tried on at L&T last week was a nice comfortable size for me, just wish it didn't have the plate on it.

If returns is not an issue for me, I will totally go for it but the fact I am out of US means possible returns might add up to potentially more than the discount savings plus freight forwarding costs. There was a style by Marc by Marc Jacobs - the Francesca and on pictures, I love it but in person it turned out so huge and heavy a bag that it totally became impossible to carry. After that experience, I was wary of large bags.

I know what you mean by driving your fiance crazy. I am driving myself crazy with just looking at pictures, measuring and re-measuring existing bags, imagining how it will look on myself. Lol! This is how infatuated I am with that shade of purple! Oh nooooo!

Oh! That's a lovely mod shot and the size looks absolutely perfect on you! I share the same sentiments with you on the plate. If it was at the side, I would have purchased it straight away!

At 6 feet tall, NO bag is too large for you. If you can't wear a large bag, who can?

I'm short and once voiced my worry that a bag I was considering may be too big, and a friend said, "Oh, no bag is too big."
That made me stop and think and it opened my eyes to just buying what I like and what works for me.

It looks perfect on you!
I really do love it. It wears bigger than the phoebe, but not much bigger. The leather is thick chewy pebbled leather, so it may take a while to soften. On the flip side it should wear well over time and hold its shape well. The organization is shaped similar to the phoebe, but even better. I love how it looks inside and out. And I liked this one since it didn't have the round plate.

Lovingthebag, thanks for the pics, looks great on you! Yours also looks slouchier/mushier than the one I received today (the smaller one with plate logo in violet). After taking mine out of the box and unwrapping, it is not love. Somehow it looks bigger on me then when I tried it on in the store, but mostly it is because it is incredibly stiff coupled with the size. The bottom corners are way too stiff, they are actually hard. I like my bags to retain some structure but the slouchiness I wanted/expected wasn't there on the bag I received.

Perhaps it would soften over time, but I also wasn't crazy about the shade of purple, I remember it being lighter in the store. I figured there was a chance I would keep both this and the small Phoebe in Black Violet if the colors were a good deal different, but the shades are too close. Hands down, I love the color of BV, it is much more neutral, goes with everything in my closet practically. :)

I will try to take pics of both bags side by side if anyone is interested!

Agreed. I get what I like--size be damned!!!
