Just a picture for reference in case anyone wanted to see her. Metallic Edie arrived today and she's going back tomorrow. Not feeling the finish nor the black hardware.I hope I can find a metallic Phoebe somewhere instead.

Yeah, she doesn't smell like leather. Mine is stiff and basically a real disappointment. Back she goes.
Mine was wrapped perfectly but has spots without the brass finish and looks silver. It will be going back as well this week

Mine was also "factory wrapped" but has a spot on the front, to the right of the logo. It looks like a stain and the bag just came out of the wrapping. Oh well. Now we have money to spend on something else!!
Oh no!! My has a perfect mix of slouch and structure. So sad it isn't love!Lovingthebag, thanks for the pics, looks great on you! Yours also looks slouchier/mushier than the one I received today (the smaller one with plate logo in violet). After taking mine out of the box and unwrapping, it is not love. Somehow it looks bigger on me then when I tried it on in the store, but mostly it is because it is incredibly stiff coupled with the size. The bottom corners are way too stiff, they are actually hard. I like my bags to retain some structure but the slouchiness I wanted/expected wasn't there on the bag I received.
Perhaps it would soften over time, but I also wasn't crazy about the shade of purple, I remember it being lighter in the store. I figured there was a chance I would keep both this and the small Phoebe in Black Violet if the colors were a good deal different, but the shades are too close. Hands down, I love the color of BV, it is much more neutral, goes with everything in my closet practically.
I will try to take pics of both bags side by side if anyone is interested!
Does anyone know if any new colors will be coming out soon? I love the teal and purple but do not care for gold hardware.
I called customer service today and they said the small embossed version was available in the other colors but everything was completely sold out and they didn't know when they'd be restocked. Sigh. People must've pre-ordered because I never even saw them on the website. I just purchased the large in saddle and I love it, but man, it is huge! I am going to keep it, but really want a small in another color. Not really a fan of the plate version but it may grow on me. 😛
Hi Edie owners. If you have the regular Edie with the name plate...just wondering how you are liking it...if it gets a bit more slouchy over time. If you also have Phoebe would love to hear how you like them compared to one another. Have considered Edie...like the thick should straps and the turnlock is kind of cool. I am not that crazy about the name plate though.

I don't have the regular size Edie. I have the large size but I can tell you that it is getting softer and slouchier with use. Also, I have two Phoebes - the large and small - and like Edie better. It is roomier and it doesn't puddle as much as the Phoebe and I think it's more secure because the outside compartments come up a little higher, plus I like the straps better. They don't dig in as much as Phoebe's. The only downside - it is heavier than Phoebe. In the Phoebe, I prefer the smaller size as I feel the larger is almost too slouchy.
I am not crazy about the name plate on the small Edies either and hope they come out with more colors in the small embossed soon. Happy shopping!
Thanks so much for your input/opinion. I like the embossed one - but the large just felt too large for me. I had checked on other colors besides jade and they mentioned apricot and pale blue. I am not sure why Coach does that with colors - many times I like a color but they don't make it in the size handbag I like!!!
The Phoebe is super light so I don't think heavier is much of an issue. I thought the leather seemed a little more durable - which is a good thing!
