I bought a super cute vintage gucci bag off ebay, but it smells horrendous, like wet mold. I attempted to clean it with based of the posts I read on here but it kinda ended up ... bit wrinkly, (context it is a gg canvas small boston bag), even after washing it smells horrible.
I knew vintage bags kinda smell, but not this bad.
It was not too pricy, but I do not think I can return it because it is not in original condition, nor do I want to wear it even tho its soo cute.
The smell is just so bad. *Plus it is international so it will be a pain to return and get customs money back
Im debating between taking a L or was thinking of filing a dispute for a partial refund?
I never have done a dispute and dont know if I should or not. Also, is this reasonable?

Bought a purse recently which is fake. The seller accepted the return request, but this morning I noticed the seller account has been deleted...? What to do?
If you filed for NAD (not as described) through the order, as opposed to just contacting the seller and asking for a return, when the seller accepts, you should have received a prepaid return shipping label.
Print the label, attach it and ship. Once tracking on the label shows delivery to the seller, the seller has 2 days to issue the refund. If she doesn't do that, you can request ebay to step in. They'll issue the refund.
It sounds like ebay NARU'ed the seller so I'm not sure whether you're able to contact her.
One of the items I sold is lost in the USPS system. I opened a missing mail search a few days ago. If I have to file an insurance claim, you have to prove the item's worth. It was a vintage bag. How do I prove what it is worth? Shouldn't the price paid by the buyer be enough?
For some reason, eBay just refunded me. I guess my 12 year old has a new purse!

I sold an item over the weekend with a 2 day postage time. I checked the order details carefully (twice) and the item was to be posted by 11.59pm Tuesday 16 April - that’s today in my part of the world.
When I printed the postage label through eBay this morning the advice had changed to shipping by Monday 15 April. How does this happen?
I’m annoyed that I didn’t print the original order advice for 16 April, but that date was the expected shipping time frame anyway so I didn’t think I’d need to.
Any ideas?

I ordered a cheap pin on ebay a couple days ago, and I received the package today only to receive a ziploc bag with $12 cash and an apology letter from the seller saying that the pin is lost.
The money was the refund. I mean I am not complaining, but I wonder why he never refunded me through ebay instead? Oh well.

He didn't want to get a defect by cancelling for OOS which would have seriously impacted his account. It's very sneaky.
This is NOT INR since there's tracking showing delivery but you have a legitimate NAD claim if you chose to open it. (What you received is not what was described and pictured, making it "not as described." If you chose to open the claim, you'd have to return the $12 (on the seller's dime for the shipping label) and you'd get a full refund anyway, but doing this would certainly impact the seller's metrics.
Thank you Beenburned for the helpful post. I feel kind of bad since he went through the trouble of sending me this cash and writing out the letter, so I will skip out on filing the claim. I still got my money back so it's okay. I appreciate it.
I'm curious if listing an item's condition inaccurately is a listing violation on ebay:
Seller listed an item new with tags and in the description they state that it is in perfect condition.
When viewing the photos I clearly see snags and at least two long runs in the material. (IMO there is no way the seller did not see this when taking pictures.)

It can be a mistake although I can't even count the number "new" items that have had descriptions of "only worn/carried twice," or similar wording.
It'll work against them because it'd be an obvious NAD issue and the seller would have to accept a return plus pay for return shipping if the buyer catches the mistake. And although it wouldn't be a defect on the seller's account if the seller willing responds to and accepts the return, it affects the seller's metrics when a NAD case is opened. (And that happens even if it's a false claim.)
Browsing ebay tonight and see a brand new seller with a lot of Hermes scarf listings.....or at least the TITLE states HERMES.
So when reading the description the seller then informs you that these are not actually Hermes scarves.
How is this allowed? They put the brand name HERMES in the listing title when the scarves are NOT Hermes. I'm confused.
