eBay Chat Thead... woohoo!!!

Thanks! He's a bit above the average weight. I think for males it is supposed to be 22-23 pounds and he is around 27. There is also the possibility that he is mixed. I bought him from a breeder but he is a little odd looking when next to other shibas (he is much taller and less fluffy) so he may be 1/4 or so another breed... Maybe jindo or akita or something.

AC & ItsOnly4Me - Congrats on your sales! I hate the packing part, do you all?

Shinymagpie - Your Shiba mix pups are precious! Those little faces are just cuteness overload.

Thanks my dear. They are rather nice to have around.

I actually enjoy the packing part. I like putting a paper bag inside them and stuffing the paperbag with newspaper. As our newspapers are Japanese (I can't read them just look at the headlines and try to figure it out...) they must be interesting to whomever gets them at the end of the process. I either get new boxes, but the local supermarket has really good boxes which are pretty much bag sized often. So I try to go recycled when I can. We moved recently and had the company wrap some of the dinner ware. I kept all the lovely paper from that and used that to stuff boxes too. It's just the posting I don't enjoy.

They are adorable! I hear they like to entertain themselves. I've always wanted one, but have held off b/c I don't think their temperment would go well with my Golden Retriever.

Did you guys ever see that Shiba Inu Puppy webcam? Someone recorded a box of Shiba Inu Puppies growing up until they were sold.

Thanks for posting the link. I had seen it via another part of the PF. I think they would be ok with any kind of dog. I guess it depends on how you socialise them. They do like to have some human contact.

^^^Thanks for that info! I think if we get one we will get a puppy so that they grow up together, I'm sure that will help more than trying to introduce and adult. They are too cure!

I need some of your opinions ladies! I have a weird situation. It doesn't deserve its own thread.

Got an offer on an item (Offer was $595 + shipping to Australia, I accepted). I sold the item through Malleries.com (I have wire transfer as my international Payment option and accept Paypal by request)

Last week she said she wanted to pay in a week b/c she had to make a payment on her CC , I said no holds unless she puts money down because I need to uphold my obligation to my consignors to market their items. My hold policy is 25% down, non refundable, held for 7 days or Layaway which is 50% down, non refundable, and good for 4 weeks. She said she would do wire transfer instead.

She then claims she put the money through and that it bounced back, however she entered in the beneficiary bank as the account number and not mine. I sent her the wire info with just my info again.

She now says she wants to pay with Paypal but next week b/c she wants to make a payment on her CC (which she had originally said she was going to do this week).

I told her wire xfer is the prefered method I accept internationally, and that Paypal requires a convenience fee and is a last resort. I noted that regardless of how she pays if payment isn't received the item goes back on sale without a down payment.

I'm waiting on her response.

I'm just worried that this was all to buy time. I really hope not. She seemed sincere but flakey at the same time. It just didn't help that she sent the first wire through on Sat so I had to wait until Tues to call the bank (Holiday weekend) to find out what could have happened.

Was just incredibly bad and needed to spread my guilt around in hope that you'll make me feel a bit better.
Just bought a miu miu bag off ebay. I didn't get it authenticated as I know there's not enough pics for the girls on the authenticate thread to ID it.
However looked so good to me and it's a bag that I wanted so much when it was available but couldn't afford it at the time.
It is a BEAUTIFUL bag!
I'm now keeping my fingers crossed that when it arrives on friday that it's authentic!
EEK! I honestly don't know what I'll do if it's a fake coz it was a bit pricey!

Io4M- I am sure this isn't the end of the BS w/ the "potential" buyer.
Argh- its probably the middle of the night there too.

lindsayB- ALWAYS ALWAYS use your credit card through paypal. If it does turn out to be fake and Paypal doesn't come through with the dispute then your CC company can file a chargeback.

Umm.. I'd say don't hold your breath, or she will pay at the very last minute possible (unless that has already passed)....

Well, I'd say there would be at least 10 living within 100 meters of my house. (Given that my 2 story house has a frontage of about 10 metres).

They are a native animal to Japan from what I know. Really smart. So easy to train. Very economical with the barking - only if it's warranted. Really happy to see you when you walk in the door, but calm down quickly. My other half is so thrilled with these two - he thinks they're the perfect dogs. Ours are mixed breeds, their parents are both Shibas, but different colors, possibly a grandparent was an industrial size Shiba. They have their second injection this week then in 2 weeks we can start walking them! Woo hoo.:yahoo:

Hiya A! Sorry, I meant to email you but it's been manic crazy here as you can imagine!

Kita hasn't heard she's s'posed to be quiet :p AND I got 2 Shiba screams in my face in the car on the way to the vet!

I am soooo tired. DH has been away all week, I've a new pup and an overexcited newly 8 year old to deal with.

Cat hates dog. There have been incidents - usually at 3am. I can't leave anyone alone for one minute.

Going out for DDs postponed birthday dinner tonight and I will have a good deal of alcohol.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am currently obsessing about Pearls. I always need a "hobby" to distract me LOL!
May need to sell a bag, but can't decide which one as all the ones I have left I love so much :-(
^^^Hopefully you ATLEAST payed on your CC via paypal?
Can I ask a question here:smile1:..only because I have never paid through Google before for a bag on Bonanzle..but I did with my CC..if something goes wrong...(hope not! and nothing is at this point)...will I still have the same protection...the seller said she was having issues with PP and wanted me to pay through Google..both were part of her checkout. I have always paid with paypal and was just curious if anyone knew for future ref.
Thanks!
