My Ebay purchase summary is STILL asking for me to pay for the fake wallet. The listing hasn't been removed. And Ebay has hasn't responded either. Ugh!

And here is the latest response from the fake LV wallet seller...

"I will try to cancel the order.
You know my friend just a women, she never has a luxury wallet like this, so she does not how to figure it out.
But she needs money right now, so this wallet must been sold .
Please keep secret for her, I do not wanna her know that her birthday present is a fake product and it came from her adopted son in Canada.

Thank you so much ."

And...

"I cancelled the case through Ebay, but their system got problem today. I will continue doing it later on.
No worries, I will definitely close this case.

Thanks."

Below is the message that I received back from the seller this am. I've tried to request to cancel the transaction thru my Ebay account, but I get an error message saying that I can not request to cancel a "Buy It Now" transaction?

I've already reported the listing all (3) different ways (as per info given here in TPF). Now what do I do? I don't want a NPB strike if I can avoid it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks!

"Sorry, I never sell fake things.
I just help my friend to sell this wallet on Ebay....
If you wanna cancel the purchase, please go to Ebay to cancel it.

I checked this wallet again , i see the authentic certificate number inside of the wallet is M61702. If it fake, cannot be have number on it. I guess.
I am not Fan of LV, So i do not know. But I really trust my friend and her friend.
A birthday gift cannot be fake!!

You can cancel the order by yourself or through Ebay.

Good Luck"

Your seller is FOS. Send this to the seller:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/cancel-transaction-process.html

To cancel a transaction, both you and the buyer need to agree on the cancellation or you won't receive a final value fee credit.

To cancel a transaction, open a case in the Resolution Center.

A few important notes:

  • The buyer has up to 7 days to respond to your case. To receive a final value fee credit, the buyer must agree to cancel the transaction. If you haven't received a response after 7 days, close the case and you'll receive a final value fee credit.
  • You need to close your case within 60 days after the sale. After 60 days, if you haven't closed your case, eBay automatically closes it and you won't receive a final value fee credit.
  • After you've closed your case you'll receive a final value fee credit within 7 to 10 business days.

Another option that I know you aren't fond of is one to use if the listing remains and the seller doesn't cancel. Pay for it, receive the item and open a SNAD.

Let the seller know that it's illegal to sell fakes and any item should have been authenticated before listing. If you open SNAD, you'll win the dispute and his account will be dinged. You'll also be able to neg him (which he deserves) since he's not being cooperative about canceling.

As for your transaction showing as unpaid, you don't have to concern yourself unless he files for non-payment.

Here's the listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTH-LOUIS-...701?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item3cbf86c6ad

And the (un)authentication: http://forum.purseblog.com/louis-vu...-format-post-1-a-706422-486.html#post20502161

BB...

I just messaged the seller AGAIN. I copied and pasted the "guts" of your previous post (hope you don't mind). Thanks for the helpful info (as always)!

I ALWAYS ALWAYS pay immediately for all of my AUTHENTIC Ebay purchases. I'm gonna be so miffed if the seller files NPB on me over this. & to top it off, sounds like seller plans to re-list this fake wallet on behalf of her "friend that really needs money right now" too. Grrrr.....

This is the error message that Ebay is giving me when I try to cancel the transaction via the Ebay Resolution Center...

You must be the seller for this item to continue.

So obviously the seller has to initiate the cancellation.

I tend to think the seller might not file NPB but if so, drag out responding long enough that the listing might be removed. THen you won't have to worry about it.

And if relisted, report!!

That's why I posted to send it to the seller. He has to do it.

The fake LV wallet has been re-listed!!! Even though it still shows as me needing to pay for it!! WTH?!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260913188812&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123
Unfortunately, the fake LV that athenalh sold to Omaha_2072 that was relisted has been sold:

Here's the one that Omaha won:

Seriously...that's EXACTLY what I'm saying as well! The BIN that I got suckered into is STILL saying that I need to pay for it!

Does "reporting" to Ebay really even work anymore? I HATE seeing people get suckered out of (what I assume to be) their hard earned money. ESPECIALLY during the Holidays :censor:

I reported both times. WTH?

Now my Ebay purchase details says this...

You bought this item The seller has relisted this item or one like this. Then there is a "Pay Now" button next to it. WTH?!

Can the seller REALLY re-list without cancelling the 1st transaction before?

They can but it's generally not the smart thing to do because if the new buyer paid for it and then you paid, the seller would have to produce two wallets or they'd have a claim of NPS against them.

I received the following email from EBay this am..FINALLY!!!

"We're writing to let you know that this listing for an item you won or bid on is no longer available:

260911318701 - AUTH LOUIS VUITTON Graffiti Peach Long Wallet Limited Edition Rare to see

We understand this may be disappointing, but occasionally we need to remove listings. In this case, the listing was removed because the copyright or trademark owner of this product reported that the item may be counterfeit.

Here's more information on eBay's policy concerning replicas, counterfeit items, and unauthorized copies:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/replica-counterfeit.html"

And also the re-listed wallet has been removed as well. Hopefully that buyer gets their money back. Luckily I never paid (thanks again Lee!)
