No card left on door or with the rest of the mail. I just checked Track & Confirm page and now it is saying as of 5:39 pm yesterday there was a 'Notice Left.' What notice? There's no notice. There was no door bell. The dogs never barked like they always do when the door bell rings. Aren't they supposed to ring the doorbell if they need signature confirmation?

Now I am afraid that maybe they left the notice on the wrong door or with the wrong stack of mail. Are they going to retry delivering it for me or will I have to pick it up? How will I pick it up without the 'Notice?' Can I use the tracking number if I don't have that notice? Am I the only one that can pick up my package?-if this is the case then I won't be able to pick until Wednesday when I am off (I work 12 hr shifts). I'd call USPS with these questions, but they're closed today.
Call your local post office tomorrow and ask these questions. Get the direct number to the post office (as opposed to the 1-800 number).

Congrats on the red Celine! I hope you get it Monday without further delay.

I feel like USPS is lying you know. They updated the Track & Confirm that they left a notice and they didn't. The mailman didn't even door bell. I can't do anything about it until tomorrow when they open. I'd have to call them while I'm at work.
I hope we have wonderful reveals tomorrow...fingers crossed!

Regarding the USPS, sometimes the mailman gets lazy. My last delivery was the same scenario. Anxious to get my package, I stayed home all day stalking the mailman. He never came up the driveway, however I got a notice.
I did have to present ID with my pick-up, so I don't believe someone else can get your package for you. Call on Monday like BB suggested maybe they will try to redeliver for you, it can't hurt to ask.:smile1:
Good luck with this package. It sounds like it will work out.

Based on your tracking, it looks like they'll be delivered on Monday. Unfortunately, you lost a day with the holiday. Another consideration is that because of the holiday and long weekend, a lot of the regular mail carriers take an extra day off. (I know my own guy was off Thursday and Saturday.)

When that happens and a sub fills in, because he's not used to the route, it often can take him twice as long to get through it. So it's possible that he may have had the package but just ran out of time to deliver it.

That certainly isn't something that the seller is responsible for, so her feedback shouldn't be dinged, and even the post office can't be blamed for "wrongdoing." This kind of stuff happens and the bottom line is that as long as you get your HG shoes within an appropriate time, that's what you want.

Good luck and let us know how much you love them when they get there.

Is this weird or what? I last checked the mailbox around 6:00 pm (my time) and there was no mail. I assumed no more mailman after 6 pm. My sister just arrived now-11:30 pm (my time) and brought in mail - junk mail, bills, postcards, social security check, and a small package - but no package for me. Does this mean that the postman had time to drop off the mail but no time to deliver a package and get a signature. Is that normal to get regular mail but not a package that requires signature? I have been sitting in the family room typing away on tPF and going in and out of eB so I could not have missed a doorbell. I also have 2 small dogs that bark when the door bell rings.

I'm a late-comer to the thread, but I was getting anxious about a package I was waiting for lately, too. Come to find out, the post office just rearranged workers and routes so I've got a new guy. Not only that, but he's not consistent for when he arrives to deliver - i MUST let my dogs out, and when they're out when he's ready to deliver, he either leaves it outside the gate (on a heavily trafficked road where my truck license plates were stolen!?!?) or he just doesn't deliver. Now MY dogs would scare the bejesus out of normal people not expecting them just by barking (all three aren't little, but they're all girls.) Not sure what your dog-business arrangements are, but even small dogs scare the post office guys sometimes. :p Could that be it?

NOTE TO SELF: You're a long-time seller but with a new account, and thus you're trapped in a hellhole known as as the 21-day hold. ALWAYS check for bidder's feedback and see if they've been leaving feedback for their past transactions. If not, then you're probably screwed when that lazy buyer decides s/he doesn't want to leave feedback for the past 2-3 years and you're stuck waiting 3 worthless day for PayFail to release the hold on your funds. There's no point calling them when some useless foreign person decides you should wait instead. FUUU.

I hate this!

I have a question about PayPal and that whole "hold your funds" thing. I sold a Gucci wallet for almost $200, and the buyer (albeit in Singapore) paid almost immediately. I made the shipping label through eBay, and updated the tracking info in PayPal. The buyer gave me immediate feedback when she got it, and I did the same for her. BUT THEY STILL HELD THE MONEY for TWENTY DAYS!!?!?! I did everything I was supposed to do to shorten the hold time, so I'm confused. I just sold a piece of antique pottery for $50, and the same deal. But a cheap tote sold, and another bag for about $50, and voila, the funds were immediately available. WTH!?

Just picked it up...all I can say is FABULOUS, in every way!
Terrific seller/tPFer!
I hope you get your package today...fingers crossed!!!

Popping in for a quick question since it's not really thread worthy, and apparently ebay did away with live chat

I purchased and paid for an item via paypal but the payment went unclaimed because the seller had entered the wrong email address. Seller says she spoke with ebay and I need to cancel my payment and send it to the correct email address instead. I did cancel my payment but doesn't this transaction need to be cancelled and the item relisted with the sellers correct information for me to have any sort of buyer protection? Or at the very least, cancel the transaction and send me an invoice?

I don't see why she'd need to cancel the transaction.

As long as she updated/corrected her payment information, your repayment should go through this time. The item is still showing as purchased by you and ATM, unpaid. So once you pay, all will be fine.

For payment, she can either send you an invoice (through the item and referencing the item number) or you can "send money" to her. In the payment info, put in the ebay item info and all will be on record should there be a question of payment.

Thanks! Re what's in bold, I just wasn't sure if making a payment to a separate email address would link to the ebay sale or if I'd be sending money to someone with no way to trace it to the transaction.

Hey ladies! Any idea what USPS Priority mail timeframes are from US to UK right now? I sent a small item (makeup) to the UK...and it's been 12 days.

Thanks!! :)

Small flat rate boxes don't get scanned. Did you use that or something else? Normally 3 weeks is about average.

Yeah, It was the small flat rate box...so hopefully it will reach her in another week or so.

Thanks noshoepolish! :)

*Bump* Anybody else have issues like this? While my trouble centers on PayPal, I suspect it's eBay policy. I just can't figure out WHY!

I have had 30 wonderful buying/selling experiences on bonanza. I am just saying that I have been lucky so far. So I ventured out to ebay. I have been very afraid to do any buying on ebay because of all the horrible stories. But there was a bag that was looking for for years & found it on ebay.

Can you tell me if I should be afraid with my first experience. On Monday, I bid for a bag - $140 & won. The seller had 96% positive feedback. At least 450 transactions that were positive. She only had one negative feedback that said she never communicated, never sent item, but gave refund. A few others left positive feedback but said "delayed shipping, so they asked for refund - which was given). The rest were "excellent service, fast shipping, great communication, etc".

I bid on the bag monday at 10 a.m. won the bid at 1:30 p.m. Paid when I got home from work at 2:30 p.m. It is Friday & she still has not shipped or communicated at all! I sent her a note yesterday asking when she would ship. No answer. I sent her another email tonight. I know it was Thanksgiving, but that is only one day. She had Tuesday & Wed & today to communicate/ship. If she told me from the beginning that she is going away, can't ship til next week, etc., I would have been ok, but NOTHING! No communication at all. Am I worrying too soon? I mean, she was around on Monday to accept my offer - couldn't she communicate if she was going away for the holidays, etc.? In her item description she said she ships promptly. I could never do that to anyone. I always ship within on day of cleared payment (which mine was) & if I ever could not, I would let the buyer know right away.

Just wanted to vent. I am just annoyed because I don't see why she can't give simple communication. She also said she plans on cleaning out her closet & listing many more high end items. Doesn't she care about her feedback? I don't get people. No more ebay for me. Or actually, if there is more than one similar complaint, I will not buy from that seller.
