I don't understand why Seller's list item that are SNAD? I bought a item and it was SNAD, seller decide to accept the item back I paid for the shipping for the return. Seller stalked on picking up the package from the post office but when she did she decide to let me wait longer for my refund by refunding me with a ECHECK. So annoyed!!!!

The seller delete all her items that she was selling and made her feedback private.

If a seller has already transferred money out of her paypal account, then a refund will always be by echeck. It should go back on the credit card you paid with once it arrives in your account.

Ebay is an idiot. They just removed one of my listings for title manipulation. I mentioned the worn "Anthropologie" in my Free People listing because that is where I purchased the item I was selling. Ebay apparently think Anthropologie is a brand name, rather than a store. I had 60 watchers and 3 hours left until the auction ended. Thanks ebay!

I have like 6 other listings up done in the same format that end in a couple hours. Let's hope they don't arbitrarily decide to remove those too.

Advice needed please -

I sold a dress , the buyer used a buy it now option, item was sent and the buyer received this all okay. I also stated no returns on my listing.

I get an email now from buyer - Hi, I want to return this dress under the buy now option as listed in EBAY buy it now regulations. This dress looks terrible on me it makes me look fat not your fault, but I will never wear it can I please have your address so I can return it to you for a refund. Kind regards xxx.

Can the buyer do this?

Thanks in advance

Its up to you. If you deduct listing fees and you relist then you have lost time, but you will be a good samaritan. You aren't obligated to do that, but what would you want done for you?

If you are willing to accept the return, you are also certainly allowed to withhold your fees and shipping in both directions would be at her expense. You can also request a "restocking fee" if you desire.

If you don't want to take it back, you can send something similar to the following, tweaking as appropriate.

Dear Buyer,

As clearly indicated in my listing, I don't accept returns, especially when "it makes you look fat" and by your own admission, it's not my fault. My item was accurately described and is not eligible for a refund.

You are certainly welcome to use my pictures to resell the dress yourself.

Sincerely,
Your seller

O/T...but I love that you have one of my best friends in your profile pic :tender:
And your buyer is a clown. The fact that the dress makes her look fat means YOU have to pay for her to 'try it on?'
WTH - you aren't a big department store. Ebay is like a big garage sale for chrisssakes. People need to get a grip.

My Ebay gripe today is kinda silly...but why does it irritate me when people think they can sell a purse on ebay for retail price or MORE -- if it isn't a sold out/limited edition/seasonal item -- and is, in fact, still in stores every where with no intention of ever getting discontinued.

I am basically referring to sellers selling Chanel Caviar Black Jumbos for 4300 or 4600. Are they kidding me? I could go buy it right from the store itself for the same.
:hysteric: :bagslap:

I agree that your gripe is silly.

Sellers can list and sell their items for any price they want to ask and if there's a willing buyer, what's the problem?

Also remember that ebay serves people all over the country and all over the world, many of whom don't have access to retailers. Those of us who live in large metropolitan areas take it for granted that we have a wide variety of choices where to shop.

For many, ebay or another online venue is their only option if they're to get what they want. Or there are those who hate shopping and don't mind paying a premium for the service of someone going out and doing their shopping for them.

And if, as you say the item is still at retail price in the stores, those sellers (who you imply are gouging) have to increase the selling price to include the item cost, sales tax, their time and expenses in doing the shopping, ebay fees, paypal fees, packing and shipping materials, etc.

And these costs would just allow them to break even. Do you not expect them to add another bit of money for themselves?

Frankly, it bugs the heck out of me when people who have never sold items complain about greedy sellers when they have little or no idea of the work involved as well as the expense.

It may surprise you to know that what you see as "gouging" on a Chanel bag might net the seller $50 after all is said and done.

Also, take into consideration that just as online sellers must add their overhead into their prices, at store level, the retailers have done the same. You certainly aren't paying Nordie's cost when you buy an item from them. Why is it okay for them to inflate the price you pay but it's not okay for an ebay seller to do the same?

I took some advice on the Fleabay forum and asked kindly what was included in the shipping fees to see whether or not I'd feel comfortable about shelling out 15 for shipping. Seller "kindly" replied that if I didn't agree with the shipping charges I shouldn't bid. Now that really turned me off since no where on the listing stated what the fees were but I was interested in the item.

Does this make the seller shady for not telling me what the fees would be used for? I always state why I charge a certain X amount for shipping in all my listings so buyers wouldn't need to ask.

BTW, BB, my buyer hasn't wrote to me nor has the tracking updated. No FB has been left either. I thought I'd update you.
