The whip stitch detail on the early Florentine bags is beautiful. And I think it was very
underappreciated at the time (at least by me). Now, comparing the more recent styles to the older styles, I wish I had collected even more of the early Flo bags.
It is such a beautiful and unique feature. The craftsmanship is really awesome. The little details Dooney adds to the bags shows how much thought was involved in making the bags. I love it. To have that little whipstitch detail on wallets and coin cases to match the bags is brilliant. I bet it’s a painstakingly time consuming process by hand.

Thanks everyone for looking at her. She is grinning happily in her new home… Her Leather still creaks :happydance:

it’s raining again…. Ugh ….. .I reached out and asked the seller if she treated this chestnut and the crimson. I also asked if she ever got caught in the rain while carrying these beauties. I wanted to move in to my newest addition today, but I’m not taking any chances. I’ll be back into my large chestnut. By the way I saw a picture of a chestnut domed crossbody with water spots. I know I am extremely lucky my chestnut satchel laughs at the rain.
second thought I’ll try the quilted spicy messenger and see how she does in the rain

Your post from a few days ago explaining the handles (those that stay upright, and those that can go up and down) has stayed with me. And I cannot unsee bags with upright handles. I need my bags to have whipstitch handles & handles that go down. LOL

The handles are an important detail that we often overlook. If the handle or strap
drop looks OK, then our focus moves onto other aspects of the handbag.
It takes a lot of effort and self control to make sure all the details on a handbag
match up to your 'standards'. It starts with knowing what you want. But then
you have to avoid being influenced by a great buy. And that is my weak spot.

LJ again I thank you for your photo of your large domed satchel. I love the look of it. You called it an old lady bag but I call it classic. i like the look of the handles on i. I hope it’s included in the upcoming sales. I don’t remember seeing it at the outlet, but I have hope it will be there.

on fb somebody posted a pic of her trip to the outlet. I’ll try to attach it. She showed a sample table with many many bags… and guess what I spyed on the sample table in that picture? A Tilton crossbody on the sample table…. I am obsessed with that bag….
not my pics. She said this outlet is in Ellenton florida

Yesssssssss cmon RuedeNesle. We would love to see your collection. You don’t have to be on camera if you’re not comfortable. It’s a little difficult to get the tripod in the right spot for the bag spotlight. I’m not professional like many YouTuber, but I’m having fun. I will get better with practice I hope…

I read something somewhere about not being able to have your best video if you don't do your first video. (Something like that, I'm sure I butchered it.) The point is obviously you have to get started and learn as you go. I think one of the excuses I'm using is I only have my Samsung Galaxy 8 phone, no vlogging camera. I don't want to invest in one until I get started and I see how it's going. But I know the quality of the video is as important as the content.

Ahem. I’m filming on my iphone. hubby had a tripod in the closet…. Hence you don’t need all the bells and whistles to start. They have starter kits at Walmart, tripod/phone holder. You could hold the phone and be behind the camera as you film.
lets do it. If you don’t like the video you don’t have to share it.

I'm going to do it. Maybe I'll make a quick video when I get back to SF and send it to you via PM. You can critique it for me.
