Dooney tends to use different names for very similar color in different collections.
Dark green has been called Ivy, Forest, Fir and maybe a few others.
The colors may differ slightly either because of the way the leather takes the color
or the color intensity or undertones, etc. could be slightly different too.
Dooney dark green leathers are beautiful.

If the sale is good, get it. Never hurts to have 2 of something you love especially in a different color. That chocolate alto leather is gorgeous

So I DID win the bid on the Florentine chestnut satchel with pockets from the same seller I got the crimson one. She tells me that she loved the crimson but the chestnut is in even better condition. I am very shocked I was the only bidder and got this beautiful bag for a steal. This was the 4th time the seller listed this bag. I told myself at this price $126 I would go for it. She will be here in a few days. I’m excited to move on in…. I do love the chestnut color.

With the ild eBay sale on the small coin cases, I purchased a few, for gifts, and ended up keeping 2 for myself, navy and chestnut. I have noticed that the leather on the coin cases is matte as opposed to the 2 medium wristlets I purchased. I know the wristlets are older, yet they feel like they’re coated with wax, real slick feeling. You can see the shine on the wristlet, and nothing on the coin case. Is the wristlet patina in unused Florentine? I wish the coin cases came in Ivy…

You know the style works for you. I wonder if others passed it
by because it's larger and heavier. Or they are just not as knowledgeable.

Thank you LJ. There are a few up for sale, this was the lowest priced one. Maybe nobody wants this style at this time. I like it better than my small flo satchel. Oh well I’m glad nobody wanted this one. They really wanted the crimson one tho

the black quilted spicy messenger should arrive today. I’ll do an unboxing and review what fits.

Congratulations on your bag and the fantastic price. The chestnut florentine is stunning and a favorite of mine.

I mentioned here on FP that I recently closed my Poshmark closet. I sold items from my personal closet that were NWT's. I overbought. It amazed me the items that sat and sat without anyone making an offer or never sold despite taking over -90% off the retail price tag and I would donate. Other items would sell within 2 minutes of listing.

What I am trying to say is it does not always make sense why something gets grabbed by a buyer. Thank goodness I am not a retail buyer by profession.

All that matters I'd you purchased from a good seller you have a history with on eBay, you bought a gorgeous, quality D&B bag and won at a great price. Enjoy!

Just an aside, I saw a photo of Pippa Middleton about five years ago, she had on a cute jacket and after sleuthing a bit I discovered the brand. I saw one on eBay that was similar. It was Fay Italian and it was $1,200.00 NWT's and nobody bid except me. I bid the minimum of $210.00. Sadly, it was too big and I had to put it in my Posh closet. I purchased another one from the same brand, paid over twice as much and the quality was not as nice as the cheaper one.

Thanks GA. I would have shopped your closet if I knew which it was lol I’m sorry that jacket didn’t work for you and you had to let it go. I hope it sold for at least what you paid. I guess the quality everywhere is going down hill. I’ve been seeing more and more people complaining about the luxury brands, LV, Chanel,YSL, etc… quality going down down down…
