Does everyone have a neverfull?

Why would the popularity of something prevent you from buying one or enjoying the one you have? Doesn't everyone have an iPhone these days? Oversized gold Michael Kors watch? Tiffany's tag bracelets? Just because lots of people have something doesn't suddenly negate the functionality or appeal of that item, and the same is true for the Neverfull. If anything, when I see someone out with the same bag, it makes me happy, that we're in a little "club" together even if the other person isn't aware of it. I don't feel lesser than, or that what I have is now not special because someone else has it. If I wanted a bag that no one else would ever carry, I wouldn't shop at a branded, international mass producer of monogrammed bags. :shrugs:

Well said. I agree.

I have a Mon Monogram Neverfull. Love having my initials, as it makes it different. I only really use it for travel. Makes a perfect carry-on bag.

I used to love my neverfull. It's so easy to carry and holds everything I need, but when I bought it I wanted to be different. Last night I went to the movies and three people in line had exact same bag and saw another as I was leaving.
Am I right to be falling out of lvoe with my neverfull since it has become so common?

That's the reason that has kept me from buying the Neverfull... in the area where I live it is probably THE most common LV bag especially among young girls meaning from teenagers to their early 20s, even speedys seem rare compared to the Neverfull. Anyhow, lately I have started to want a Neverfull and am contemplating wether or not it would bother me that so many people have it. But this is an interesting thread! Maybe I will also wait for some limited edition Neverfulls like someone here suggested... hmmm gotta think about it anyways.

I've never wanted a NF because I don't tend to carry a whole lot on an everyday basis, and when I travel, prefer a tote bag that I can zip shut. I'm too nervous about having my stuff go flying across the plane floor--this happened once when I traveled with an open tote. So of course, when I travel, I'm carrying my Red Sox Vineyard Vines canvas tote bag because it zips and has good inside pockets.

I also only seem to crave an LV model after it has been discontinued. Just signed for a multicolor Speedy 30 today--so maybe in ten years, I'll want a NF. ;-)

I don't think everyone has it, because I don't, for example...but I do have 2 speedy bags.
When I was in States, I saw NF almost EVERYWHERE. I wanted to get this bag, but I didn't simply because its so popular.
I try to avoid buying any canvas bags lately, because even if its not the exact bag near by, then its definitely can be the same print.
By the way, I didnt see many leather lv bags in States or Europe, but here in Kuwait, where i live at the moment- everyone has luxury bags, so its more chances to see more expensive bags, such as lv. As far as NF ... don't see many in Kuwait. In Russia where I'm from, its just really rare to see lv bag at all, no matter what model its.

i live in NYC and i can walk for a minute out on the street and see AT LEAST 3 or 4 (mostly in the damier ebene).... this bag is way too common..... i still wanna get it though.. i'm thinking maybe in the damier azur because it's wayyyyy less popular and i love that print.

For those who don't buy NF due to the open top, there's always zippered organisers available.
I prefer using organisers not just to keep things in my bag neat, but also keeps the lining clean and SLG pristine as well as facilitating bag changing which I do 2-3x a week.
Why is that not an option? (Not being sarcastic, am really curious)

I don't have one but I know what you mean! I know the whole shebang about it being functional hence the popularity... but honestly I can't help but think it's common because it is one of the more affordable LV bags... I would opt for an epi if I ever need one, however epi cannot be cinched in so yeah.. dilemma there. :p

I have had my MM DE for over 7 years still looks as new as the day I got it. Out of the thousands I have spent on my bags this one will always be my most used and functional. It really is a great bag. When I see other people with it I'm like hey you love bags to. 😍😘 I enjoy it

I had one but recently sold it - not because I see it everywhere but because I couldn't adjust to the open top. Saw one in my office today, but even in my large-ish city, I don't see them often at all. Bought a Monogram Alma instead, even though I used to see them a lot.

I just love mine. I don't really care if many have it. It just mean that is a great bag, practical and functional. Just like so many drives Honda or Toyota, Benz and BMW. I sometimes use bag charms or bandeau to make mine different from others.
